Has anyone here bought from an auto auction? It seems like buying a crashed vehicle is a good way to get an engine, transmission, or misc parts by buying a donor car. :wrenchin: Thoughts? (I'm a cheap bastard that doesn't have much to spend on play things like trucks)

:D It's (well our local one's Hayward) right down the street from me and one of the industries best kept secrets. Even better if you're an Oregon resident, no dealer license required. Ya f'in lucky bastid!!

Gotta go, but I can give more input if you need it. I've not only dealt w/ them but also ADESA and Manheim as an independent dealer rep and employee.
