History Question..Isn't this the lady who invented VHS??

Isn't she the inventor of VHS and why Beta didn't succeed? Sorry to have to ask, but a bit before my time.

However the porn industry sided with the VCR/VHS format over betamax which had a smaller runtime than VHS.

reason betaMAX didnt succeed was sony banned "non worthy content", basically porn wasnt allowed on the tapes. sex sells, sex was on vhs, therefore vhs sold... despite being an inferior technology.

actually, the quality of purchased pornography in the late 80's and early 90's was actually pretty good.

what really ruined porn was the internet, cheap digital camcorders, and web cams. now any amateur can post their naughty bits, porn in general has gone to hell.

gone are the days of debbie does dallas and other ms. jones movies, even porn stars like jenna jameson and brianna banks (whom i grew up with) are all but gone in favor of things like bangbus. they have been replaced by amateur hour.

lol, milf hunter is halarious though! as pornography, its pure crap.

it used to be an art form, but it seems the same people that took music and created the "boy bands" and "pop divas" of the late 90's did the same to porn.

to those who watch porn purely to get their rocks off, then i guess free is the best thing. for those of us who appreciate the art form (even if it is an improbable story line of a hot plumber and a helpless housewife wearing next to nothing, i equate this to B science fiction movies, good in their own right) there are only a few producers and companies producing anything of quality these days.

FWIW neither of us really are into or care about porn. Reason I knew about this is b/c a buddy mentioned it. The only one we've ever seen is something about it's the future and there are two types of people, those who can have and like sex and those that can't and throw up when turned on, or something like that IIRC.
