God bless those marines for their selfless interference between evil and the innocent and helpless, for their fierce defense of freedom. God rest their souls now; their struggle with tyranny, oppression and murderous ideological intolerance is complete and well done.

God grant peace to their grieving mothers and their proud fathers. Give their souls the comfort and reassurance that this life is not all there is.

God bless and fortify our military men and women. Give them strength and tenacity. Give them and iron will and a soft heart. Gather them into Thy protective care.

And God bless the rest of us still in conflict with the adversary, the destroyer, the irrational zealot, that we may steel our will to endure to the end with our eye single to the victory of righteousness over evil.
