Hey folks,

I'm looking for a couple of 3.0 fuel injectors. I need 2 that still have the plastic tips in good shape. :hillbill:

Thanks,
Daniel

maybe try these guys? I've only ever heard good things about them . . . if they don't have injectors outright, maybe they can replace the plastic tips . . .

Thanks Keith, I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if they can rebuild injectors. [edit--I think they are closed till the 3rd.]

I also found a kit online that has some generic injector rebuild peices. It's $50, and looks like it has the plastic tips that I need. I think they just snap in, but I dunno.

cmon guys, there should be tons of people who dumped their 3.0s in favor of the 3.4 that have all the injectors intact. tofer?

Woot!

I found a place that sells just the pintle caps for $1.25 each. Ordered them from RC engineering: http://www.rceng.com/

I got 4 with 3 day shipping for $18. Sure beats 200+ for each injector from Toyota.

Now we'll see if they are the correct ones.

So, right now, it looks like I don't need any injectors, but that may change if my fuel leak ends up being my injector. I'll let you all know in week.

Dang Dan, are you rebuilding that 3.0 one piece at a time?

Glad you found the parts you need.

haha...yeah. Sometimes I feel like it.

Actually, most of my issues I've had are always little stuff breaking (seals, hoses, etc). In the 8 years or so I've owned it, I've put less than $1500 worth of parts in it. Not too bad I guess. :hillbill: I do need to do brakes and shift solenoids next though.

Looks like I do have a leaking injector. The new o-rings didn't fix my leak. I broke my pintle caps for nothing. :chair:

The guys at witchhunter said it couldn't be repaired if it is leaking internally. So, I'm back to trying to find an injector.

If anybody has one, please let me know. A good pintle cap would be appreciated, but I do have a spare if it is cracked (they are a pain to put on though).

Thanks folks.

Send a PM out Tofer's way. He's bound to have some injectors around.
