View Full Version : 4th gen head unit w/GPS, etc -- Will Steering controls work?
Hey all
I'm looking at the 500-800 dollar range of head units, some pioneers, some kenwoods, and an alpine. I want GPS, sat radio, ipod integration, etc.
My question is, how do I ensure the steering wheel controls will still work, at the very least for volume?

Yes steering wheel controls doable
"compatible with most factory steering wheel audio controls (adapter required)"

I don't always buy there, but Crutchfield has a lot of info available

yeah i use crutchfield for their info, never buy though bc theyre expensive!
Thanks I totally missed the adapter line... I want one like the unit you posted but probably a lower price bracket :)
ended up with this one + adapter for 350 bucks less than crutchfield wouldve charged!
