Since nobody else has created one for this event here's one!

If you weren't there, you missed out on some great action! Then again when Mikey's around there's always lots of "gay" action :flipoff:

Before we get to the good carnage section I just want to thank everyone for the good times! Mikey, always a pleasure to fart around with ya! Thanks for the tugs when I needed it :) Marc, it's definitely been a long time! Glad I made it out to chat with ya! Rob, I gotta say this trip was an "exciting adventure" :P Tony, thanks for the tug! I knew I needed that extra tug to help me remove some excess fat off the truck :thumbup: Seth, sorry I couldn't introduce myself but by the time we got back from John Bull you were gone! Jim, again sorry I didn't introduce myself but I noticed you skipped out after John Bull too. You've got one sweet toy! Pat, props for the wheel stand! Jenn, I'm glad you made it up! :) Matt, nice heep! :) very impressed... but it's still a heep :tongueout:

Ok enough of the thanks blah blah blah stuff. I know you're bored already so lets get to the meat of the trip.
* complementary exhaust removal, bent crossover exhaust pipe and bent down pipe + dented floorboard by center console from the exhaust (see below)
* bent rear lower link
* damaged passenger side engine mount + preexisting tranny mount
* passenger side mirror mod
* melted battery clamps mod
* flaky arb lockers (I believe this was a preexisting issue)
* coilover falling apart
* custom rocker panel mod

Did I miss anything else?

we decided to run John Bull backwards because we had a few virtually stocker vehicles joining us. thought this would be a great idea but it proved to be more challenging that just doing it the normal way. go figure!

Mikey got hung up right at the beginning of the trail head which gave all of us headaches but I had the best mod there. In the process of getting stuck and required tugging from both sides this caused our first carnage on the trail. The exhaust got stuck which made the it to fold right at the mount behind the catalytic converter pushed the floorboard up enough that it pushed my center console up. This cause the down pipe and the crossover pipe to get bent so now I've gotta fix those too. Now I've got a nice mod to work on. The rear lower link also bent from all of the rocks :(

Marc had some preexisting tranny mount issues but the first rock proved to take a toll on the passenger side engine mount. The sheering forces resulted in a damaged engine mount. Some of us saw sparks so we knew something was up but couldn't figure out what until we decided to have him stop so we can inspect. His electric fan was rubbing up every time the engine moved so we had to some creative repairs on the trail. Joe and Tony had some great fixes so that Marc can continue the entire length of the trail. Props man!!

Seth at the squeeze between the trees decided to hug one of them and left the passenger mirror behind as a gesture of love! Pat (toyopnoy) was da man going between the trees! This guy has some MONSTER BALLS as he decided to do probably the biggest wheelie for a relatively stock vehicle. I would say there was at least 5 feet of air between the ground and the front driver tire!!! Props man that's some great driving!!!

Mikey's SD friend with the cherokee had a bum battery tray which resulted in some sparks causing the truck to get disabled. Some creative fixes with rubber bungies and hammering down the clamp helped to get the jeep back on the trail.

Jenn had an existing arb locker issue with one of the solenoids so that must have been fun trying to conquer John Bull.

My front coilover came apart while heading back with Rob on the backside of Big Bear (Skyline Drive -> 38). The rod and the rod end came undone. Not sure how this happened but it was good thing it happened when I was only going a few mph. Someone was apparently looking out for me cause it would have been worse. I had to remove my coilover and reattach the rod and the rod end. Took an hour away but I'm glad I had all of the tools to do this. :argue:

Anyway I didn't take any pics cuz I didn't bring my camera so hopefully others will post up with their great stories.

Thanks!

Had a great time guys, and I think the kids really had a lot of fun. On Sunday Kyle wanted to leave early and fell asleep before we hit the pavement.

Thanks to everyone that came. Did anyone get pics of the kids?

Another great trip in the books. Krystle and I want to thank everyone for the good company, food, and spotting haha. Never ran John Bull reverse before and that was pretty fun. A lot of nice rigs out there this weekend. Props to everyone who made it out. Great weather as usual good choice on this past weekend. Here are some pics we took.

Joe and I had a great time. I only took one picture...and someone already posted a very similar one, Lance's exhaust mod. LOL

It was wonderful to finally meet some new faces. Our kids had so much fun making some new friends.

Luckily we had no new carnage. Like Lance mentioned, we already had the ARB problem. Fortunately when we needed them the most, they worked! LOL Go figure!

Can't wait to wheel with you all again soon!

I've got to say props to Lance
- First he takes out his exhaust system
- Then he has to winch my stupid a$$ back on the trail
- Then 100 yards after airing up his strut self destructs
He takes it all in stride and never stops smiling.

Here are some pictures from day 2

Looks like you all had a blats as always. Was really bummed I couldn't make this run.
I spent that whole week backpacking in the Sierras, so I did get my share of mountain adventure then.
Definitely gotta so some more SD crew runs!
