It almost looks like stop motion, but I could see it being real - he could never do that on a full speed swing, but on a slow swing like that, stop the swing, spin the bat and grab hold of it again . . . I dunno

I'm not going to even try. For one I'd probably smack myself in the nuts and for two I don't have a bat at home so I'd probably hurt myself or others flinging around a piece of DOM or something.

It's very cool nonetheless.

There are several videos of different people doing the trick on youtube, so I'm guessing it is real. But I dunno. Very cool trick. :thumbup:

it appears real to me... as corax said... on a slow swing like that it doesnt seem that difficult... i spin smaller stuff all the time, i dont see why it couldnt be done with a baseball bat

Took me a while to figure it out. Were I more coordinated and willing to sacrifice a few hours, I could do it. I almost got it then took a shot to the ribs, so I gave up...

One of the good points of having little kids, I got to try it with a soft bat. :laugh: :flipoff: It didn't have enough weight to it, so it didn't work great. I would have busted some stuff on the patio had it been a real bat. :laugh:

I seen a guy on TV during a MLB play off game last year do it before so I believe it to be real , he wowed the crowd and they replayed it a couple times cause it was so cool

Its almost as if you spin the bat in your hands as you release it.

Im sure its not that hard after you practice 9 hours a day for 5 years..
