I have a hit on a used TJM 15, And since Im in the market for a bumper and this one looks great Im highly considering it.
So, Does anyone know if a TJM 15 Bumper will fit from a 98 4Runner to a 99 Tacoma..

Def should do, since the 4runner guys usually do a modification to fit them from the Taco's.
If not, I am sure you can still figure out a way to get it to work

Deff should do.....
A test fit ? Im trying to get the guy to let me come down tomorrow and help him take it off of his 4runner and test fit on the taco..
But mainly I've seen mods for the ARB's, Never heard jack squat about a TJM..

Scub, that's a photo of a TJM T-17...not a T15 . :D The T-15 has hoops.

Well ok still. Same shiat. Looking at the Sonoran steel website it lists different part numbers for my truck and a 98 Runner. But I still think it's worth a test fit..

There are different part numbers because they are different bumpers. They should fit. The 4runner bumper has little wings you bolt on the sides where as the tacoma bumper is one piece (IIRC).

Don't know if Bob's writeup would help, but here you go! http://www.4runners.org/writeups/tjm17/index.htm
The photos maybe worth looking at.

Thanks. I may ditch the idea of this used one in favor of a new one, waiting on words from the yt thread I linked to in my thread about tjm

As far a I know TJM doesn't sell to the US anymore. I was ready to pull the trigger and no one had them and couldn't get them. Slee had a few about 6 months ago and I contacted them about them. From the get go they seemed like they had better stuff to do than sell something they had in stock so I didn't buy.
If you're looking to bash up a bumper or really use it the tjm might not be the best for you. Sure they are nice, light and somewhat inexpensive but it's because it isn't a heavy duty bumper. The shrockworks are nice, would put up with what ever you throw at it but they are overpriced.

Well I ended up picking up the used T15, but for the life of me I can't get photobucket to let me copy the img code from this iPhone.. So I'll have pics later..

why not just build some mounts to adapt your taco front end to the 4runner bumper?

Where you located, it would be easy enough to re-do the mounts for it to fit.....

Looks awesome!
Its my favorite bumper for the 3rd gens... Fits the lines the best anyway... ;)
Looks good, might want to drop it down 3/4" or so. I always wondered what the rubber strips were on the side, are they detachable endcaps or something?

That's why I said I've got to adjust it a bit..I know the wings are too close to the fenders.
Those rubber strips go inbetween the main bumper and the "wings" , my guess is that they are there more cosmetically to hide the seam from the wing to the main body. That wing does unbolt FYI, it's also a major PITA if anyone was wondering..

Thanks man, it has come a long way and it's awesome. Yota's, Wrenching, and Wheelin is really the first thing I've ever had a real big intrest in, I got the bug ;)

Looks good man. I cant decide if I like the TJM better or my ARB. Either look good. Whats your plans now?

Personally I think the ARB is to square-ish. I'd rock either though.
Plans for the truck now, well I have skid plates coming soon, the front skid row and the tcase skid from skid row as well
I might go for some 882's depending on how the 881s hold up..
I reallly want tube doors so that's probably next. Then gears (4.88's) and maybe a front arb if I can
Also I need to make a rear bumper.
