What's up guys!? I'm a regular on another Toyota board, and was looking for something a bit more off-road tech oriented... The name is Chris, and I'm from Alabama... Roll Tide!

I drive a 1996 Ltd. 4Runner... I'm running the Sonoran Steel 1.2 kit, and am rolling on a set of GoodYear Wrangler DuraTracs (285/75/16)

As far as performance mods go, I've done the deckplate mod, I have Magnaflow dual exhaust, K&N drop-in filter, Mobil 1 full synthetic fluids, and a heavy right foot...

Other aesthetics, etc.: RhinoLined flares, bumpers, and cladding. Rattle-canned gunmetal stock rims. Smittybilt brushguard and tail light guards, Rola Roof rack, modded 1st gen roll bar, tinted tails and blinkers, TRD side decals, (2) Hella driving lights...

Audio : Pioneer deck w/ Ipod controls, Kenwood DualMag Components, Pioneer rears, (2) Insignia 12's and amp, and Sony amp for the speakers...

And I think thats about it... I'm pretty excited about picking up some tech from ya'll and getting my 4Runner where it "could" be...

I love the Duratracs... They are a bit heavy, much more so than the Mich's I had on before... Off the road however, they are awesome!

And one more... As of last night I took all the accessories off to be re-sprayed (chipping paint)...

No loss w/ the duals... It pulls the idle down to around 500 rpms... I also had the catalytic converter removed... It's fairly loud, not a luxury vehicle by any stretch...

Nice Truck Man, And welcome to UY.

Off Road Orientated ?
Man were just a bunch of mall crawlers here.. ;)

Are you on TTORA ?
Great site there as well, And very off road orientated..

But here on UY, It's a great and smart community, You will enjoy this place im sure. Yes the layout is a bit different but after a while its easy to get used to.

Am I rambling ?

Thanks for the Kudo's... Your truck is nice too... How's wheelin' with the 4cyl?

And I'm a t4r-er... I found this site while researching rear bumpers... I'm diggin the Bamachem design, but I'm simply not that caliber of a fabricator... I might could possibly pull off a BruceTS deviant though... But all that is after my ARB and sliders!

nice... i have been seriously considering the duratracs as my next tire... looks like you have a fair amount of shale in your area, how are the tread blocks holding up to the rocks? is there much chunking?

btw, nice looking truck! get your friend with the taco on here too ;)

Ahh, T4R, No wonder you were looking for something more offroad orientated :)

Thank you as well, And wheelin with the 4Banger isnt too bad.
With the 33's it is a little under powered and my clutch hates me sometimes.
After I get my front bumper here soon, I will be saving for some 4.88's, Then it'll be perfect

Good luck on your bumper build man !!

They handle he rocks exceptionally to be an "A/T"... I consider them more of a hybrid, A/T-M/T cross breed... The compound is pretty tough though, I personally wouldn't recommend them for rock crawling... But for occasional light stuff, they do great! And thanks for the props, I'll talk to my bud and see if he'll post up some info...

I'm no where near finished with the rig yet... I'm looking fo an ARB front, needing sliders, build a rear bumper, skids, work out a rear cargo deal, then throw in a 1.5" BL, 35's and either 4.88's or 4.56's... And a new '10 TE 4Runner to haul this one to the trails!
