Its a 4.5' fiberglass whip (actually a cut down 7'), with a standard ATV flag mount, bolted to some aluminum plate i had laying around from my cruiser lift, and cb mount... I just hope that plastic piece it is mounted to is strong enough ;)

its mounted to the support for the rear "wing"... (The black thing that pushes air downward past the open rear window to keep exhaust fumes out)

I will have to see if this works for a 3rd Gen 4Runner, did you buy a mount and modify it to fit?

no, i bent a piece of aluminum strip to 90 degrees, then used the backing plate from my cb antenna mount i bought (i didnt need it for where i was mounting my cb)... since the piece i attached it to is plastic i figured the backing plate was necessary here. The only things i bought here were the actual flag whip mount (from an atv store) and the whip itself

Since the Pismo Jambo is coming up, I took some new pictures of the mount without the flag in it for an example to those of you looking to build a hard mount... much better quality (not blurry)

I guess I can add to this thread.

Whip flag mount on a stock Tacoma tailgate. I accept donations for my hard efforts in design.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Open tailgate.
2. Insert flag.
3. Close tailgate.
4. Jump your truck on the biggest dune possible and adjust flag.
