The big thing is, you never really appreciate why its called a 3.slow until your trying to pull a 6,000lb trailer... :flipoff:

lol... that was me giving in and taking it to a shop... driving it out there just finally finished off the tranny... :-/ ... pre-existing problem that i just made worse... lol

so i need to see if i can find a good deal on a used tranny... cuz a new one will cost me about $2000 (not including labor)

the auto tranny on the CRV was finished off at the dunes during the Pismo Jamboree. Although if you towed that thing for too long with the 3.0 auto, I'm sure that one would be smoked too.

Looks like the cruiser coils handled it pretty well, but I'd be worried about braking and not having a rear sway bar if you had to tow if very far (but I know you didn't :) )

i ended up going about 15 miles around town... haha... and yes, braking was interesting... i had to start slowing down way back... and accelerating was interesting too...

yes the cruiser coils handled it well, and it didnt start to wobble til above 50 mph...

Yeah, it has a very nice stance with that trailer on the back.

it did take some rearranging of the crv on the trailer to get the weight balance correct... at first the back end was sitting as low as the 4runner sat stock... so the crv had to move backward a bit :-P

it was probably close... i guarantee that uhaul car hauler doesnt weigh as much as the flatbed i was hauling... but the taco outweighs the cr-v by almost 1000lbs... so it was probably fairly even...
