should bolt right up. the only concern i would have is the carrier, if its from a 4cyl or a 6cyl. the 4cyl has 2 spider gears, the 6 has 4 spider gears.

ARe you talking about the whole axle or just the third? The third will bolt right up, but like sean said, it would be stronger with a 6cyl third, unless you have a locker in it that replaces the carrier, then it's really about the same strength.

just to let you know what happened again, the drain plug got stripped, walked down the interstate and the gear oil decided to be butt buddies with the plug and went with it.
