...to dump that BMW and buy another 3rd gen runner. We're going to pick it up on Saturday after I inspect it. I'm stoked, we are no longer a yota apostate family. :hillbill:

Here is my question for you Sir Fuster, Have you returned to the Anthracite Metallic Family of 3rd Gens?

Cool. I've been trying to convince the wife that we need a GX470.

Fuster,
you could buy yours back it for the right price, it has loads more dirt and miles on it.

;) Even if you decide to lightly wheel this new 4Runner the maintenance will still be far cheaper than the Beemer.
It should go without saying...
Where's the pics!

Ha! How's the 97 runner doing anyway? I can't tell you how many times Mrs Fuster regretted selling that runner... I think that's why she's going back to a 3rd gen. I hope the runner has been as good for you as it was for us. We tried to take good care of it.

Well technically I am still in the anthracite metallic subset. I painted my 85 to match the color scheme of the 97 limited I sold to downwiththemouse. When I get a new Tundra I may shoot it the same color. It's best one out there...

good it just turned 156000 today. right now it spends more time on dirt around flagstaff than on pavement...could use a wash right about now

Well we went down and looked at it. Mrs. Fuster fell in love immediately. I did the walk around and listened, prodded, probed and drove it at hwy speeds and in 4WD. Turns out it is a solid runner with 120000 mi. We bought it and drove it home. Pics pending.
She wanted a 4cyl 5 speed 4WD and that's what this runner is. Now I can finish my 85 build. It has gone uncompleted because she was threatening to take it and I didn't want to put much more effort in until I knew what it's purpose was to be...mall runner or moderate off road machine. Now I know.
