Ok so this is one issue that's always angered me with this site. And this site alone. Any other forum I'm on I am allowed to change the #of posts I see per page, max =40. Here I don't notice that option in the user CP. I'd much rather have a 1 page thread with 35 posts than a 3 page thread with 35 posts, and only 15 on each page.

Can you guys tweak that and maybe give us all the option of changing how many posts are on each page..?

Please and thanks!

I'll see what I can do. We have some software upgrades we'll be performing so I'll see if I can get that into the mix.

Worst case you just have to live w/ the slight discomfort for the time being.

Thanks!

This will make the site a bit more mobile friendly as well.

In a way yes, in a way no.
It might take a bit longer to load the page, but at least we won't have to go to the next page so quickly.
I won't lie, I'm a lazy ass. And my job entitles me to sit on my ass all night for 6 hours. Well what better to do them get on the forums from my phone? :)
I'd say 75% of the time I'm on here I'm on my phone..

Off topic, Mike what kinda phone you got?

I've got an LG touch. It does ok on all of the forums I'm on but they are all different and none (except Pirate mobile) are great.

Nice. I can't really think of anything this iPhone glitches at on most forums..
Sometimes search is weird on ttora, things like popdowns are glitchy ( here), other then the fact I have no flash capabilites this phone is pretty awesome while surfing the webs.
Oh, another thing that pisses me off. I'll be on the FJC forums, click new posts and then open the thread I want to read in a new page ( so I don't have to load the new thread page 849582 times) I'll read the thread, reply or whatever, close the page and when I open the new thread page again it refreshes it. Kinda defeats the purpose of using that method but whatever.

I used to post a lot on a non-car related message board, and they had an option for 15, 30, or 40 messages. I opted for the 40 and loved it!!

I vote for 40!

Well I vote options like you mentioned, 15, 30, 40. So if there are peope who like the 15 it's at now they can keep it..

it would probbaly need to be hacked into the board scripts like the flash video hack that got undone when the site was hacked by the turks

A year later but I did find a way to tweak it so it's set to 40. I need to find a way so it's user-based on the options so I don't force everyone to 40. :0

bein forced to 40 would suck for people with slow connections, especially on picture threads..

Kevin, since I know you're on dial up (28.8bps) I figured out the way to modify the code so that you can get to change your post options in the profile page under "Look and Layout Preferences".

I also changed the default to 15 so that'll make it somewhat reasonable for all of ya. Those of you on super fast broadband connection can get up to 100 posts per page (kinda excessive) but I know we have some crazy freaks here so hopefully that'll please your appetite!
