ive never been, but hate runs with more than 10 vehicles. i enjoy the quiet, small runs myself!

if i ever get off my butt and fix some truck issues ill join the SD crew in some of their wheeling. for now its weekends filled with "honey-do's" and working on my bumper.

I'm down for the weekend before or after, that way it won't cost me any vacation days ;)

But if we go the same weekend, we could just do the same trails they do, but with a later start. We probably wouldn't run into anyone on those trails since they start so early and our group likes to stay up late and then try to sleep in.

If y'all want to convoy out on Friday night, what's a good time? I'm roughly on the way - about two minutes off the 8 near Grossmont High School if we need a lead-off point. I can roll by about 6:PM if everything goes according to plan, or we can assemble here and then go at 7:PM.

I think I'll bring a hibachi for Friday night if there's nothing official going on foodwise, so if someone wants to bring a few spare dogs for the grill that's cool.

Not sure yet whether I should thank or spank him. (OK, poor choice of words there). Before I saw the invite to camp & potluck with y'all, I signed up & paid for the dinner from the SD 4 wheel club. So what are we in for over there, are we cavorting with the enemy? Maybe we can get our chow & run over to the Toyota SafeZone, how far away are you?

I'm a relative newby with 4 or 5 runs under my belt. I was thinking of signing up for Rabbits Foot & Lost Dutchman. Any comments? Will the jeepers help spot an FJ if needed, should I bring my own, or just be expected to poke & hope?

Nick and I will probably be running a trail slightly tougher than Rabbit's foot this year. He just put Josh's old BJ spacer on his 4runner and is getting geared and locked too! Marc's old idler brace will be making it's way onto his rig as well.

Don't feel bad about supporting SD4Wh - I interviewed them on-air last Saturday, and they sound like a solid crew. You're supporting a 501.C3 that does a lot of work to keep our sand and rocks accessible. They're also raffling off a huge amount of gear on Saturday night, including a set of the new MT/Rs.

Hope y'all caught the show.

I will have a few friends along too (in theory), so we'll have plenty of spotters for Saturday. I don't know who's coming home with me on Saturday afternoon, though - I haven't deciphered if I'm going to try to do a canned show or make it home and skip Sunday in the sand.

If you have any buddies who plan to drive out in their trail not-ready transportation and then ride with you in a real truck, we're planning an Econobox Rally in the sand at some point. Bring cones...

My place is in Fletcher Hills off Main Street, about two blocks from Tank's fiance's, and about 1/2-mile from the 8. I've got at least one more 'Yoter headed to my house for a 6-7:PM departure. Why not meet here and roll out? 7:30 works fine for us.
