*Oddly enough, and I am not kidding here, I spent about an hour arguing w/ our cell phone provider having them explain to me exactly why I couldn't send a text out w/ her pic in it, and kept getting a "inv/app content" message. Then could send it, but only to mom's phone, then both seemed to lockout for some reason.

Flesh tone w/i the text b/c of our security stuff maybe? Both have blocked I.D.'s maybe that? At any rate, I have pics on the old AS-350 I'll download later on when I have gotten at least an hour's rest. We just finally maybe got a hour or so each of sleep, so there shold be a few sleepless nights after finals week for me to process them.

That and I want to see how we feel about sharing family/personal pics just now. Not necessarily against anyone here, but we got a lecture from someone over the whole "internet-stranger-danger" deal. Momma's got the final say, but I'll see how we can share a simple pic.

Hey, thanks everyone, yes, she is indeed our first, and at that, in the lineage of one side, the only daughter born in a very-very-did I say "VERY" long time, easily centuries, and it's to the eldest son at that. Usually it's the younger brother having the kids, I suspect in part due to family serving this country and another during wartime and strife and the older ones well, you get the picture.

Right now it's just me at home catching a quick shower and to give the dog the baby's first hat so she'l get used to the "new" smell (while we get used to the other "new smells" :rofl: ). All is well, I still can't get the picture issue to clear, so sorry but I am going to fall back on the ruling to keep pics private for now and be smart about things.

*Nothing against our peers here, it's the internet, you know, and I figure there's a reason maybe the pic drama happened and i'l just go with the flow for now.

yeah i totally understand. i dont worry so much about strangers as i do a few certain people (yeah, you know who you are...) knowing about what goes on in my life.

*Short quick to the fact reply..without getting into details, things are a little stressful right now, and we haven't gotten the "ok" to go home yet with baby. I am not having a good day so far, but am thankful for the blessings I do have.

Please, this hopefully isn't an overly serious thing, but it could change quickly. I ask that my friends here take a moment, and if so able and willing, say a quick silent prayer to tack onto the one I just said to have her come home with us w/i the next day so we can get on with raising our little princess. It's the wife's birthday and I could not think of anything more fitting than to have us be able to come home tonight as a family.

Hey everyone, we're finally home and all is now well, we've a couple of follow-up visits and things are better. As for a pic, this is what we've decided to share online. It's funny that while I was offline dealing with the whole debate over posting family stuff online a family member's email and facebook were hacked.

So, like I said, we're going to just share this and when our little bundle of joy's older, we'll let her ask us about posting online and do the parent thing then..at least that somehow makes sense in our minds although I am likely not saying it in print right.

OK, so at any rate, let me take this moment to present our newest "bling" that'll be taking up a little spot in the back area of our 4Runner, little Sara..

That's funny mikey. I was outside yours last night. Dood, spandex is a privilage not a right. Especially in pink. And I could have sworn I saw Andy there, hard to make out his face thru the gimp costume.

Back from my massively offtopic tangent, baby is adorable! Enjoy Shane. You earned it!

Congratulations Shane. Opinions are like a$$holes: everyone has one and they all stink, but here's my advice for you about kids.

Splurge to get a nice diaper pail to keep the stink in. Splurg on a new vacuum cleaner in about 9 months when she learns to drop things.

Done and done already. Also bought a convertible crib that will become a bed later on. We made out really good between the baby shower and our friends at her job.

Now all I need is to finish this school stuff up, get a good job, and look into how to make it back into our own place while taking care of F.I.L. still. I had to move so much out to make room for baby that the garage is a disaster. I'm checking out job markets and property. I think a 2 bed, single bath with a garage is a minimum here, in a neighborhod that's decent and I can wrench in the driveway and/or garage.
