PART 2 :

I met up with Tony at around 2:30 and we were in anza by 4.
We had plans to go to Sheep Canyon Camp via Lower Coyote canyon. What turned me on the most about this place was the fact that you had to wheel to get to camp, No yuppies in minivans or RV's would really be able to make it :spank:

First thing on the trail was a big water crossing, maybe 50 yards long, 3/4 up on a 33" tire. So maybe 20" of water, maybe more..

Tony going in
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1667.jpg

After that there was some rocky stuff, could be done on 31's im sure. Think cleghorn but maybe a tad worse. Actually tony is only RWD right now, and in his 85 on 32's he did just fine.

Tony

Both of us
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1671.jpg

Near camp ? I dont remember
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1673.jpg

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1675.jpg

Once we got to camp we set up, got a fire going and had some thanksgiving leftovers
Had some beers and it was time to crash out.

First thing in the morning I wake up to the inside of my tent being wet.. GREAT
I didnt secure my rainfly enough and it just so happened to rain on us.
Around 9 the rain started slowing down so me and tony's daughter mel decided to go wheel back down LCC and back up, Tony opted to chillax at camp.

On the way to the rocks
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1677.jpg
More crappy weather
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1690.jpg

Going down
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1685.jpg

We got back around noon and the rain was done, we had "breakfast" and just chilled.

Tony the chef

It had JUST stopped raining
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1692.jpg

This is all I need
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1697.jpg

Later that day we decided to hike up into the rocks at the back of sheep canyon, Fun time, great views and a REALLY GOOD WORKOUT

Tony's daughter Mel and I during the hike

The waterfal where we stopped going up
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1716.jpg

The view from the highes point we hiked, lookin back down into sheep canyon. Camp is down there somewhere on the right, Though you probably cant see it
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1717.jpg

On the way down we found where all the rain went
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1725.jpg

I found this rock and was wondering if any geology freaks can tell me what does this to a rock..?
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1726.jpg

Once back to camp we had limited sunlight, so we cooked some new york steaks, baked potatoes and some yeast rolls  Awesome dinner

When we were almost done eating we started getting sprinkled on, We retreated to Tony's 4Runner for a bit. After that we started a nice little camp fire and were rain free the whole night
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1728.jpg

Before bed I sat in the truck listening to music :
"Lately I've been runin on faith, What else could a poor boy do"
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1733.jpg

The next morning I woke up to a dry tent
Mel had made some breakfast boritoes and we hung out for a bit. Later Tony and Mel decided to take another little hike, I was still sore so I said have fun. While they were gone I packed up my stuff and got a nice little tan. And took some lame shots with my junk
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1737.jpg

Tony and Mel got back a while later and packed up, we were out of camp around 1-2 ?
On the way out we ran into a guy in a MOG that broke off a side step..

Heading down
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1745.jpg

Looking for my line ?
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1747.jpg

If you were going up, I would say this would be the toughest part..
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1756.jpg

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1760.jpg

Then the water crossing.
With the rain I could tell it had risen a bit, but nothing serious
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1764.jpg

Nice
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1765.jpg

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1768.jpg

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/Anza%2011-27/DSCN1773.jpg

Finally around 2 we were out, onto pavement and we headed to a nearby gas station to air up.

We were then on our merry way, I had an awesome time and regardless of the rain it was an awesome weekend. Thanks to Tony for showing me this memorable spot !

Looks like you guys had a good time. Now Tony just needs to get his 4WD up and running!

Sadly the rock garden in lower coyote canyon got a manicure by the park services and it isn't as challenging as it use to be :(

LOL, I mentioned to him that once he gets 4WD back he'll that much better of a driver.
And Tony did say that they graded it or whatever, but it was still fun..

His bumper got broken in at Pismo when he was pulled pretty hard. Held up great from what I could tell.
