The day started off at some road in running springs that leads to crab flats camp ground.
We had 7 trucks, We were in and out of the snow the first half of the day, the second half there was plenty of snow to go around.

Did he really bust a cv just doing that? :headscratch: Is he running an aussie in there?

I'm pretty sure he still has the front diff that I took out of my 4runner.

Somehow, yes he did bust a CV. I was thinking the same thing myself.. On such a low traction surface.. WTF.

And no norcal, no snow characters..

Very possible, I broke mine easily slipping on some rock when it was pouring rain,
High speed + turn = broke, At least he heard his, it wasn't until 3/4 way through this trail and me battling the truck that we all realized I was doing it all in 2wd...

Chris I'm still running your old 4.88s and yes it now has a lockrite in there. The diff has now stood up to two broken CVs

We're not sure if I broke it on that exact pull, but i broke it on one of them. As far as I remember I kept the wheel straight during each pull so I'm not sure if that's why it broke. I'm starting to wonder if the CV angles with my slight t-bar crank and BJ spacers caused it. I snapped it at the outer housing, not the stub shaft. I'll post pics when I get back to San Diego. If I had to break one I'm glad I broke it at the housing since I was able to pull it out and wheel in 3WD. Luckily I brought an extra so when I got back to my friend's cabin I just swapped them out.
