I will get some pictures up with my NEW CAMERA!!! once the battery is done charging.
One of the presents is already hooked up to the truck, and its sooo cool!!!
I would take a picture with my phone but the phone is kind of required for this particular thing to work ;-)
Honestly wasn't expecting what I got since I told my mom to only get me ONE item on my list....
Now I am off to see some family in Jersey, Merry Chirstmas Everyone!!!
You got a yamaha??? Blasphemy!!! Only one brand of bike is worth it-takeit back and go get yourself a Honda CR250!!!
Nah im kidding, its a good bike. Should get yourself some larger wheels tho. I got an alarm clock and a bed comforter I wanted lol. Everything else is on order: Battery tender, tools, hat I wanted.

LOL, It's a nice bike. Low hours and woman ridden all it's life. We got it from our neighbors and it was cheap. If I could have a honda I would, Trust me.
Im hoping there's a way I can hook up an electric start, maybe that's too much work. But it took us 20 mins to get it started today.. PITA.
Here's the obligatory bike with the truck shot..

Apparently all the gear is already payed for, so that's another thing I got..

nice scuba! dont shoot your eye out kid.
after getting stuck in oregon with the parents, they realized my recovery gear needed to be beefed up. i bought a winch for my b-day so they got me a pullpal for x-mas. thanks mom and dad!!! should be here tuesday!!! weve been making a joke about it all day related to this commercial: Toys R Us - Rain Check (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZLgbgQ1y18#)
alexus got me a tomtom, a new digi cam, and the related accessories, and a new beard trimmer (haha, i dont remember the last time i trimmed it, i think it was may?)
we added a new addition to the family: bootsies, a 5 month old calico kitten. shes very loving and enjoys playing with our other cats, but doesnt like the dogs so much. something that will have to be worked out over the next few weeks/months. she sleeps with us every night, usually on our heads!
we all had a wonderful x-mas!
Its a kick start and iirc a ttr is a 4 stroke.
Make sure the carbs adjusted and next time you give it a go I suggest you try and spray some starting fluid into the head before you start and replace plug if you can. You are hitting the throttle a few times before you kick I assume, right?
Could also run seafoam thru the gas tank. I do it like 4x a year on the quads.
My suzuki quad had issues kicking over, i swapped to a new plug and adjusted the carb and man it ran great and started first or second kick.

Hmm... pretty much all my good gifts I bought for myself... Stubbs sliders and a DVD player. We had a family gift stealing exchange, where everybody puts in a gift, we pull numbers and the gifts can be stolen twice, etc. I ended up getting the gloves and a tape measure that my dad put in the pot, just stuff they had laying around, everybody else went out and actually bought gifts. Oh well.

The kids, wife, and dog broke my PS2 a week before christmas, so santa was kind enough to drop off a PS3 with Legos Batman and Baja Edge of Control a week before christmas. It was elected my gift, even though it's really the family gift. Got Modern Warfare 2, a rubiks cube :D , and a quick pencil sketch of me wearing a new beanie (april is having a new beanie made for me but it isn't done yet, so she did a quick impressive pencil sketch,). I'll have to scan the pencil sketch as it is really good and funny at the same time. She's so good and did it in about 5 minutes from memory and not looking at a pic of me. So, it looks like me, but at the same time slightly off and looks like a police sketch would if I robbed a bank or something. PS3 rocks! Streaming netflix movies on it is an added bonus too!
I got April, Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, some clothes, a plug in nightlight/scent warmer/and scents, and 19 pairs of funky socks! (she specifically asked for funky socks, and I found a really good deal on a 12 pair pack of socks from sockbroker.com so that's why she got so many  ) Oh yeah, her stocking was full of office supply type stuff from staples (she loves that kind of stuff, it's dangerous to send her to Staples unattended :) ).
The kids got lots of toys and Adelaide cracked us up because she just reached her wall and didn't want to open anymore presents, so she still has a couple to open.
One of Jack's favorite gifts that we got him..... 4 1" wide rolls of masking tape! He was super stoked! He always steals our tape and is taping his toys/sticks/whatever together to make new inventions, so I told him that I was going to get him his own tape for xmas, and have been telling him that for months. We let him open one present on xmas eve, and he chose that box. April thought he would be dissapointed since he was only opening one gift. Nah, he was super excited! :D
Not excited to stop mid unwrapping for a photo op

My parents surprised the hell out of us and got us a Sports Bundle Wii and Wii Play w/ extra remote. I think the kids are going to love that and I will too since they seem to have much better games for small kids to play.
Hope you all had a wonderful christmas and have a safe new years.

Hahaha....nice! I finally did figure out the one we were working on in Yosemite. Buddy of mine showed me the trick to it, but now I forgot what it was. :hillbill:

Sweet! We got a Wii as well, and I went out and bought the new Mario for it. Going to get Mario Kart too maybe, and I would like to download some of the old games (Donkey Kong Country from SNES and Mario Kart from N64).
I tried the rubiks cube, cant get it so i pulled the stickers off and solved it that way lol.

lol...yeah. Chris and I worked on it for hours. I'd go to bed, and Chris would be in the chair trying to solve it. I'd wake up the next morning, and Chris was in the chair trying to solve it. I gave up sooner.

Let's see where to start...
When the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 came out last month I couldn't stand missing out on all of the fun that my friends were having online so I broke down and decided to buy myself the new thin ps3 for xmas. Of course I also had to buy the game and I gotta say it was an awesome xmas gift for myself! :)
I told myself that I wouldn't get anything else cuz the ps3 alone was an expensive purchase but after playing with my buddy's iPod Touch I had to get that too so I also bought that for myself last week. Got myself a cool 64GB version so now I'm going gaga over loading all of the crazy apps and mp3s/movies! While shopping for the iPod Touch I saw the new Magic Mouse so I figured eh what the hell might as well splurge a bit more and break the bank so I bought one of those too! I haven't used it but I'll be using it for the first time on Monday at work so it better perform like butter cuz if it doesn't I'll be pissed. The damn thing was super expensive!
From my friends I got a few ps3 games to accompany my new console, a few clothing (I guess I dress like crap!) and a Nikon D300s! My friend got it for me to replace my old D100 so I'm totally stoked!! woot woot! Guess I have to take lots of pix and buy more lenses to add to my collection.
Ugh another damn hobby that's expensive! Someone find me a damn money tree cuz these cool gadgets are just killing me! :chair:
Demello Sliders, ARB Tire Repair kit, and metric ratcheting wrenches. And $$ :).
The ARB Tire repair kit is really great quality, I was impressed. I'd recommend it for the $38 it costs.

Lance, I'm officially hooked on those DSLRs! My aunt had a Canon Rebel at our Christmas party and it home how landed in my hands and I'm in love! Totally different over my Point N Shoot camera. So of course I started looking at cameras... they START at 600! I'm partial to Canon and will probably never own anything else. You giving away the D100? LOL

12-26-2009, 08:45 PM
Canon's are good stuff! If you're debating between the two brands I'd say either one will definitely rock your boat! They're expensive depending on the model you get so expect to get a spankin when you get your face deep in it. (conservative warning).
I'm not sure what I'll do w/ the D100. Originally I was planning to buy the D700 for my birthday in a few months but I guess since the D300s just showed up I'm not buyin it anytime soon. The plan was to get the full body (d700) and compliment w/ the D100 crop body but with two crop bodies I may end up "selling" the d100 if I get a chance to clean it up and buy the D700 anyway (eek). The d100 has seen a bunch of trips and is super dirty (has lots of spots on the sensors). I've already sent it into Nikon once awhile back and the spots are back again after a few trips so it's time it goes back for another cleaning before I retire it.
Even if I "gave" you the d100 you'd still have to buy your own lenses since that's where the $$ pit begins. You think the body's are expensive just wait till you start collecting the lenses!
It's just like building a truck... never ending mods... :tapedshut:

So First on the List was this:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90012.jpg
I didn't need something super sophisticated and I didn't want something to "in your purse" size.
This seemed like a perfect middle and heck still seems to be too much camera for me I am still trying to figure it out lol!
Its really Nice though.
Next was this:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90013.jpg
Which in combo with this:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90007.jpg
All on my phone, I can go from car to car and get all sorts of reading and record mileage, torque, temps, what ever the trucks computer or what ever vehicle computer that I go into.
Then I figure, like my little policy with putting stickers on the truck once I am lifted, I thought these would be nice for when the Locker is officially done (wiring):
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90015.jpg
Then for the grand finally, the front of the truck was looking a little sad, with the right side lights seeing better days so:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90021.jpg
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90022.jpg
I also got these:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/NikonP90014.jpg
But as you can tell they are not the right ones, and we are in the process of getting the right ones now.
I only really wanted the headlights and camera cause I didn't want my mom and stepdad to splurge, but of course no...
Hopefully stepdad will be happy with his new suspension and mom will be happy with her car repainted once I can afford to pay it all off...

Avy, man you got some cool gifts! Who makes those headlights? That iPhone thing is pretty cool too...I always wondered if somebody made something like that for the iPhone. Does it have some sort of transmitter that plugs into the OBD port?
I might have to get one of those when I get an iPhone and a car with OBDII.

Yeah, I would have been happy with just the headlights but my mom got stepdad and I thigs we wanted but didn't really need... Go mom!
The headlights are off eBay, I know *GASP* but 140 shipped is a Loy better then 250 shipped from some where else....
Yeah Dan, search "Rev for iPhone/itouch" and he proggy should come up, it was like 30 bucks off iTunes and then the box is for a wireless obd2 port that sends out a signal like a wireless router and you use the iPhone/itouch wireless card to pick it up.
I am looking to see if there are any pc based programs like this that I migh be able to use with a laptop on day and get more readings or just a wider screen for lol!!!

Good stuff Avy, I got some headlight luvins also in the form of a Hella E-code conversion - now I finally have a reason to install the upgraded wiring I put together 2 years ago :D
http://www.rallylights.com/images/200_E-Code_small.jpg
also got bunch of smaller stuff - new floormats, microwave, coffee grinder, Colbert's "I Am America (And So Can You)", etc
The big thing for me and the wife wasn't on xmas and not really gifted to us, yesterday we put in another offer on a house  (not doing anything w/ the acreage in WV for awhile)

Some lift kit bling in the form of these from Roger and the OME stuff is on order.

A new pair of TImberlands, steel toed.

Some really cool hand made stuff like pot holders, pillow cases, comforter, etc, Mom loves to stitch and does amazing work.
I made out like a bandit on tool stuff, finally have all my tools replaced through a lot of new and some stuff given to me from a friend. The box makes it all the better, first thing I did was grab one of my old school Hilux emblems and bling up the face plate. Car care stuff, couple of pounds of coffee, and some other things like a compressor and tank to restore, old school floor jack, also in great shape.

We tried - loved the property and seclusion, but the people didn't want to compromise $1 and a few weeks later they pulled the listing. We chalked it up to peeps from NYC that didn't have any concept of what property is worth off of the island. Kinda still wished we would have just bit the bullet, but this one is as good with a better building on it (but the neighbors are a bit closer). Meh, now we just need to figure out what to do with the 10 acres in WV . . .

Corax, don't feel bad, we looked into the place near my parent's and they're still asking $400k.. a bit down from the outrageous $560k, but still, we're talking Sierra foothills East of Stockton, coooommmmeeee-awnnn naaawwww, get real.
Someone needs to just offer up $335k, cash and snatch it up.
I'm done dreaming of buying around here, why would I spend 3/4 mil on a 2 bedroom/bath on the Peninsula?
As for the 10 acres, keep it, and wait 5-10 years for it to appreciate, you should easily recoup $60-70k IIRC.

That's what I'm kinda thinking - the payments are low enough I could almost forget they're there for awhile (+ I could hone my log cabin building skills :hillbill:)

It's already got some trails on it, and I feel the need to vindicate myself after what happened last time I was there (http://www.ultimateyota.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=8175.msg79941#msg79941) by at least finishing the "driveway" trail - besides that, plenty of large boulders to pose on. If you're ever down in the Winchester VA area and need a free place to camp, let me know (it's ~40 minutes NW of there)

*Build cabins and rent them out as a "Back Country Scenic Escape and Wheeling Paradise".
Write off everything, including whatever you do from now on with whatever rig your wrenching on as a "Business Expense".
Heck, dig some secret tunnels and also fit in a gun range...
Hold it, that's my business success for the East Coast ideas, crap, just gave that away.. :D
