WTF? i tried to log on and got a pic that said we had been hacked and that we had bad security. if i had thought about it i should have taken a screan pic.

We definitely got compromised a few hours ago but we were able to get notifications of it immediately so we're back!

Thank god everythings ok, apparently it was a turkish hacker as I translated what they said.

So why us is the Q, hackers dont usually pick obscure offroad sites..they wanna bring down big stuff like CNN and AOL and stuff.

yeah it must have been some vulnerability in SMF. anything SMF that the turkish program is crawling will get it im sure. its funny though that these crappy countrys produce proud hackers.

We're having some minor issues w/ the joomla/smf integration part. We're trying to avoid just wiping it out and redoing it so we're trying to fix it the hard way line by line. Once we get the integration back everything should be back to normal.

In the meantime we're just stuck browsing the hard way :)

Their status is that they are a mostly Western-facing, secular country but they have some issues which are keeping them from joining the EU. I say in part because there are many other reasons, including their treatment of the Kurds, and some of the more hardcore Islamic influences, for example.

So far the only thing ive noticed is hitting new posts for all forums generates like zilch except for the recent replies. Whereas before it generated like every post made in the last day or so if not more.

What can I say, I'm good. Even made it my avatar. :D You guys should make it a front page thing, announce what happened, and our thoughts on it. Address diversity with humor and make the hackers look like the asshats they truely are and use the pic to represent that.
