Im not looking to do this myself anytime soon but had a talk with clemson 4wheel and they showed me this site

these axles, joints and what not are supposed to be strong, though as you know the stronger you make these, the more likely you would to break the R&P up front or hubs depending on flanges or manual. regardless i heard they have a lifetime warranty, so if anyone is looking to upgrade, should check them out

I've checked those out.

Problem is, I don't see any besides FJ Cruiser, which I guess fits the later model runners and tacos too, though I don't know.

Ike, I believe we would have to build our own using one of those porche cv inners (not sure which ones though).

Even with those fj/tacoma/4runner ones, they pretty much use the stock outer and add an upgraded inner.

Porche 930 inners were what Downey used, but they had some sort of adapter or something to go onto it. Not sure how it all worked.

Still, it'd be pretty sweet.

Problem is, at least from what I've seen, its the outer that blows up. I've never seen an inner blow.

All the ones I have seen were the inners and the inner boots. The last one I pulled off was still functioning but definately has a broken cage or something and it fell apart in my hands as I pulled it off.

These ones allow more angle.

They seem to be nice,, but 1200 bucks for 2 axles? I do like the idea of more angle but I would have to think about spending that much money for axles.
thanks

I would assume you would have to send yours in and they rebuild them.

yeah it is a bit much, im thinking it would be worth it around 600-700 max
