I knew someone was going to point that out..

I suppose I can finally sign up for pirate.

The only thing that worries me about that place, Is it's soooo big I dont really know who I'm dealing with.
Anyone have any tips for how to go about this..?

There are some bad dealings on pirate but it's because anyone and everyone can get on make deals. I think that I'd only work with someone I know or that everyone else knows. That way it'll be easier to track them down. I believe they have a bad/good sellers section. You could do your homework or cross post to see if others know. If it is necessary I might be able to be a middle man as Chico is about an hour, maybe a little more, north of me. I don't head down to socal but maybe someone who is could get the from me.

Also keep in mind the thefts that have been going on between Placerville and Redding also, don't find yourself in possession of hot goods from parted out rigs, K.

What's the deal $ ? Curious b/c Toy Connection has easily 5 in their yard and they're a solid shop.

I will be up there in a few weeks but I think my mother-in-law would kill me if I put axles in her mini van

If you find someone on pirate let me know I may know them

I want / need an FJ 60 front axle. The only thing I can find round here is 6-700 for just the front axle. Thats a little rediculous seeing as how they arent made of gold. I found a deal for 300 for both F/R 60 axles and the guy said he would setup transport, but when I asked about shipping he said the furthest he wanted to take them is chico..Umm okay, So I'm trying to see if someone here can help.. He's from just north of the oregon border, but said he'd take em to Chico..
I'm going to post on TTORA before I do on pirate, We'll see.

Too bad I start working again this week and need to now postpone our trip out to the Valley and up the coast, I could've gotten them partway if the need be, biggest thing right now is I don't know anything except that I have Sunday's off for sure and I need to get to Leemore Cemetary soon, for something, so we should be able to figure this out easily.. Let's see what Mike ends up offering, if there's a trailer I can use so we can safely have the girl with us, I'll take 'em as far as there or Visalia, just cover w/e extra fuel cost I incur b/c of the added drag and I'm cool with it.

*BTW.I originated the So-Cal-Xpress for UY, just ask SloSurfer about that Don Julio bottle. :D

Lol. I could find the time to go get them, just dont feel like paying gas. By them time I was done I'd pay the same amount as if I bought a gold 60 axle from a yard around here..

I miss the park, almost as much as I miss those shorts that said "Chico" on one cheek and "State" on the other

:D ..but you can't say it wasn't a good detour topic? :D

So, seriously, you should consider the drive there yourself, what better excuse to party and then on the way back visit w/ forum members and wheel some areas here? Money can't buy you everything, well, except a good time in Chico!

What comes first, solid axle swap or crawler box?

Scuba
01-06-2010, 08:03 PM
Crawler, I need the crawler so that once I am ready to sas I can just get a different adapter and an older toy case and will have dual passenger side drop cases ready to move the front passenger side drop 60 axle

Well I did some math. If I get the gas mileage I think I would get, I'll need 128 for gas to get me to the bay area and back.
I may just be putting in a last min request for time off and taking a treck to oakland to meet the guy next weekend..

Obi..

It's in my area, so let me know if you want anyone to tag along. We can grab some lunch and I'll buy ya a beer and take you over to Toy Connection after to let you drool over some of the parts and toys there, or just take you straight there after and you can drink their stash. :D

Anyway you could get him to at least meet you on this side of the bay area? That would save you some time for sure

Once I said oakland he said he'd go to fairfield, another 30 mins or so

I think Fairfield is better than Oakland. You're more in the valley which is a straighter shot plus you're out of the bay.
