Just installed a new bumper from Addicted off-road and was wondering what folks are doing with their marker lights when they have installed an aftermarket bumper themselves. I do not want to re-locate them into the side lights. Any suggestions???
Could get some lights for a trailer and mount them up. Ive seen plenty of those amber trailer lights hooked up.

My build link has the set of Corolla marker's I used, just clipped off the wires short of the connector and repinned them for the new ones so it'd stay factory plug and sealed.

I wanted to somehow use the originals but they won't reach to the spot on the bumper that I want. I could re-route them thru the front instead of how they are now - routed around the outside. I hate electrical crap tho........

Mine original ones are ziptied to the bumper temporarily, while I figure out what I want to do with them. It's only been like that for 3.5 years now. :hillbill:

*Got your pm, sorry. Apparently I need to fix my sig line, here you go.. the same tech works for the newer Runners, I've since done this to a '98 and a '05. On the '98 I even used the empty third spot in the light harness to integrate turns into the bumper and made them sequential with the corners using a capacitor setup.

Main Build Page (http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/288016-rotm-submission-1995-4runner-project-wimpy.html) and Corolla Marker's (http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/288016-rotm-submission-1995-4runner-project-wimpy.html#post4887919). FWIW, since this is for the 3rd Gen Runner(?) if you already have an electronic (heavy duty) turn signal relay you can also go with basically any 12 volt light you wish to, including those little motorcycle digital's i was originally considering.
I used two factory bolt locations and some bicycle rack hardware to attach them, I'll get detail shots tomorrow when it's sunny out. ;)

Hey, considering you can buy a special tool for one I'd say "Yes!". :D

I just went through all my pictures online and amazingly, I have no pictures of the turn signals. When I go off road I take them off so there's no pictures. Mine's a tube bumper much like the one in norcal's picture, so imagine a turn signal ziptied to the bottom of the top tube.

They aren't supposed to ratchet, right, ya just tie them up and use pliers to cinch the knot, correct? ;)

Yep, then they are reusable that way. :)
