What an awesome run !!
We had 5 trucks. (front to back) Showstop, Scuba, 97prerunner, Crinale, Troyboy162

At the first obstacle of the trail, Crinale couldnt make it. We first thought it was because he was Open/ Open but come to find out his ADD wasn't working.

Anyway, So we get almost to the part where you go through some brush and trees that cover the trail and black everything out, When we saw this guy who said it was too crazy

So he headed back down with us and then his brakes started messing up. Troy strapped him from the rear and we got him down

We then ran over to the fireroad figuring it would be a bit easier and we could hit some more powder
We came across a big boulder patch that was blocking the trail

We winched one or two outta the way and still couldnt pass so we gave up on that and backed up to the other bypass up the hill

We then ran into this reallly really long hill with some sorta deep stuff, I took the lead and powered 80% of the way. Then Troy and 97Prerunner gave it a shot. Troy coming up

After that we had some more hills and junk, Nothing too exciting.
We then ran one of the last hills of the day. 100 yards long or so with 2-3' snow. At the top is a left turn, and to the left of the turn is a big drop. Well the snow decided to bite my ass and push me down near the drop:

Yes, I ran over a bush or two. Yes I believe in treading lightly and I do practice that. This was an accident and there wasn't much I could do about it.
Probably took 30-45 to get me out..

Sunset.

After that we headed down the hill and went out the back way.
GREAT RUN, fun times, good people, fresh powder.. I could keep going but you get the idea :smokin:

crazy day up there. wild how any kind of off camber would put you off the trail in like 2 seconds. i learned alot from Tyler on recovery methods. Tom got the award for the day. there were heavily equipped riggs swarming the mountains and his open/open red runner was up at the top with us busting fresh tracks.

heres the guys we saw at air up:

Maybe the reason the rocks were still there was from the fire closures??

yeah it was weird but toward the end of the day i ended up getting really good traction if i kept the tire spin down. earlier it was just spin all four and see what happens lol

turns out when me and jason were at the dunes a few weeks prior, i had high centered the 4runner pretty badly and apparently broke the connection of the lever into the transfer case... so no matter where the handle was it wasnt changing anything in my t-case... havent gotten it fixed yet, because the 4runner has recently developed a couple issues, and its not running well at all :(

current issues (that i know of)
- radiator leak
- broken radiator fan
- possibly stuck thermostat
- short in my dash harness
- broken t-case linkage
- auto tranny wont shift into O/D (im stuck in gears 1-3)

thats all i can think of atm, but im not sure where to go with her right now, cuz im broke... haha

damn Kevin! are the t-case mounting points ok? seems any blow that would break the linkage would mess up more stuff in that area. does the new girlfreind have a truck you can kill? :)

good news, 4x4 works again... have a replacement radiator, and a new power steering box sitting in my garage ^_^ just need a good wrenching day to replace both, then she'll be ready to run the trails again...
