yo! just a quick hello from the ku here. looks like a good site. i have a 87 mk 2 hilux with a 2LT engine and gearbox from a 93 surf in it. going to be swapping the transfer case for hilux one as the surf box does not have 4H. any advice would be grand. cheers nick.

im sorry i cannot help you with your swap question, but i would like to clarify some things so maybe someone else could help you.

what transmission is behind the 2LT? what transfer case (im assuming you mean it lacks 4lo (lowrange), not 4hi or its from a 2wd vehicle, lacking 4wd completely)?

im sure we would all love some pictures of your hilux, its a rare sight around here where pickups, tacomas, and 4runners are king!

yo!! yea i'll sort some pics out for sure! what i've got is a mk 2 lux, it had and old 2LT , one of the 1st gen ones, i think that was from an early surf, it had the 3 rocker bolts? i'll post a pic tommoz. that engine gave up so i dropeed another more recent 2LT from a surf , the silver top rocker cover,the gearbox'x didnt match so i changed them , only to realise that some surfs have 2wd then N then 4L. my old box had 2wd , N, 4H and 4L on the doglegged shift? does that make any sense!!!!!!! lol

some pics of my wagon , its all black now. the old tray rusted so i brought a tray off a mk4 lux and dropped it on there!!
