After some careful thought on how to proceed with the Featured Member Slots, gonna go with a trial run of every other month. So our first month will be March, we will gather submissions through the first couple of weeks of February, vote at the end of the month, and the winner will stay up through March and April, and at the beginning of April we will begin gathering our submissions for the May FM Slot.

So UltimateYotians, I welcome you to the new featured member format.

Lets start it off right with some GREAT submissions for our first month. All Previous winners are eligible this time. It's like we are starting all over, so any and all can submit. (Just don't vote for Tony... he's been up there to long. --J/K Tony. :tongueout: You guys can still vote for him if you want)

Now for the "Official Stuff".

For the rules, read here (http://www.ultimateyota.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=713.new) (But Remember! For this one month only EVERYONE is eligible, regardless of timing of a previous FM slot.)

If you have an interest in being next month's feaured member, post up (1) pic of your truck and a brief blurb on your truck specs. This thread will be open for 2 weeks. After this thread is closed, there will be a poll started listing the members who have expressed interest in being the featured member. This will run for a little under the last two weeks of the month for our members to vote. The last couple days will consist of announcing the winner and gathering their info.

Post up - and good luck!!

-Rocko

Come on now Lance, as long as you're dreaming and keeping it a Toyota drivetrain, why not throw out this one?

There are two over in the Santa Clara shop getting fitted up for Laguna Seca alongside the two Tesla race cars.

Take your pic, both are very fast and supremely nimble.

OT continued...

Unfortunately the Tesla Roadster doesn't drive like a LFA. Yeah it's 2.5x cheaper but even then it's not all that. My biggest complaint is the difficulty in getting in and out of the Tesla. Outside of that the next biggest issue would be the lack of visibility when you turn your head. The rear pillars do get in the way. It's nice that it's small but you would think the visibility on that small car would be pretty good. Seats are much to be desired (definitely not as comfortable as the LFA).

It does have perks of it being all electric and the instant acceleration is pretty cool but the lack of the true availability to just drive it across the country really makes this car limited in its true potential. It's nice to be able to get the CA carpool stickers and drive it on the carpool lane but the reality of the limited driving range really puts a damper on the coolness of the roadster.

Overall I would still drive a LFA over the Tesla. Hell I'd drive the LFA over the 599 but that's just me.

ok back to our regularly scheduled program... the March Featured member...

c'mon guys post up your toys! :)

I'd take an LFA over anything but an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish.

I'd post a pic of my truck to submit, but it isn't worthy. I'm sorry for my lack of contribution to this thread. :hillbill:

Thought I would give you guys till just after V-Day (in case any of your girls ideas of a "romantic date" are wheeling. - If so, welcome to the club of women we call "keepers") I will be closing this down in a couple of hours, just wanted to give you notice, if you have anything, toss it in.

Does wheeling around a buddy's property in Half Moon Bay count, b/c all I got are pictures from Saturday and Sunday @ Maveric's. Nothing of the Runner thoh, except the very edge of my tailgate in one of the shots (Using it as a platform for the tri-pod).

Good luck guys!
