I know about the Nissan. I'm a dumbass as well so I know all about it. Us dumbasses pull stuff everyday though, just wondering what he got into. Maybe he resently bought a bunch of Toyota stock

If I had gotten rid of my 3rd gen and had to start over I'd consider a GX470. With a kid now and the fact the 470 looks good I'd consider it. I could see him rock'n a blacked out lexus.

Yes, I miss my 4runner. Damnit. Do I regret buying the Titan? Nah, its a great truck.

But this is what gets me........
~Had the 4runner with a payment of roughly 300/month. Owed 15k on it when I sold it. Sold it to save money. 11mpg sucked ass.
~Bought the 05 Jetta GLI for 13k. Got upwards of 30mpg. So rad.
~Some hard times happened, Wife moved out, I no longer had 4wd to get to work when it snowed (Wifey took the Touareg)
~Moved the Wife out and hit up the dealers. Had to have 4wd. Ended up with the 09 Titan. Payment is 545/month, I owe 31k on it, and I'm back to 11mpg with my 35's. Haha. Suck.

I was just thinking and decided to start the thread. I would much rather be getting 11mpg with the 4runner. I miss it. Thats it. It would be nice to only owe 10k ish on my vehicle too. Not to mention the 200 and somethin less per month. Errrrrr. And I miss wheeling. Bad.

But as far as being a dumbass goes, Ive been pretty good in that area for a while. Surprisingly. The Wifey and I are better than ever, bought a house about 5 months ago, she is 4 months preggo with our 2nd, big promotion coming up at work, things are going damn well.

So all I can say, such is life. Right?

when life gives you lemons, you put an "organic" sticker on them and sell them for $7.57 a piece!

glad to hear you and your wife are doing well and congrats on the 2nd!

you should have no problem finding another 4runner!

Too early for quote of the year? :D

Long reply here.. but what the heck has our being on Ultimateyota done for some of the members testosterone levels these days? :spit: What is the count now, something like 5 kids born since the site started? :tapedshut:

Ditto the congrats across the board. Fatherhood is a whole 'nother world man. Also glad you two worked things out, relationships are one thing, combine marriage into the equation it gets tougher. To tell you the truth, couples argue, it is a fact, just most don't publicly admit it. Having the ability to forgive and accept are big factors, not to mention keeping some personal time for yourselves together and separate are key items. Thus the reason for Girl Time and Man Caves. ;)

Chuck the Titan, and let me know if you want some help finding a new project Runner, I'll get the guys @ Toy Connection and Yodaman to do an added search since right now my wife's wanting 4wd and an auto, but 3.4 swapped 2nd gen or just a 4wd auto 3rd gen. They have been reaping the rewards of the whole poor economy and I am sure they'd lend you a hand. Weigh your payments left versus the most you'd spend on a rig @ $8k before a build-up.

So, boy or girl?? Name's yet?

If I had only one piece of advice for you, it would be stop financing $30k vehicles and buy something you can pay for in cash...

Congrats on number 2, hopefully it won't pop out with a mohawk :hillbill:

Congrats with the new one and making nice with the missus. Money is different for everyone and I know plenty of people that owe a ton on vehicles and motorized toys but also know as many people that owe very little or own right out. You know best what works for you and you family so follow you instinct.

Question about the 3rd gen you sold, 11 mpg? What's the deal with that? I know bumpers, winch, tires, gear etc add up but loaded ( i mean shit strapped inside and out) I can get 20 mpg on the freeway.

*Just don't let him live the same route he did in the movie, do one better and establish a connection to the name and call a boy Martin or Marty, then you could also associate it with the Toyota's..

Haha. Funny guys. We will find out next month what the sex is. If its a boy, Ronin. If its a girl, Kinley. And right now we have a almost 4 year old, Chloe.

As for the financing of expensive ass vehicles, yeah Im over it. Ive been doing it for too long. I wish I could ditch the Titan honestly and pick up another 4runner. Its just not possible with how much I owe. Unless of course I let it get repossessed. But nah.I have learned the hard way and I am now working my ass off to become debt free. And then cash for everything. Lessons learned.

Mike, yes, 11mpg. My 4runner was loaded down. And the 33's with 4.88's killed it. I would maybe pull 13.5mpg freeway. But back and forth to work, 11mpg.

And trust me guys, just as soon as possible I will buy another 3rd gen 4runner. And this time it will be dedicated rig. Im gonna throw a straight axle under it. And I have the perfect tow rig. ;)

And hey, another lesson learned, dont jump the gun on things. It was one month until the Wife and I worked it all out. If I hadnt jumped the gun on the Titan, I would still have the GLI and easily be able to sell it for more than I owed. Damnit Im retarded sometimes. :asshat:

Well, your 4runner is still alive and kicking up here in Utah. Just saw it again the other night at Arby's.
