Any issues on running these besides the backspacing? I read somewhere about the wheels being too narrow... Any one have any insight?

It's not recommended but I've seen plenty of people do it. The bigger problem is finding a tire shop to install 315/75/16 on a 7" wide wheel.

That's what I was afraid of... I'm thinking about buying new rims anyway... 16x8 w/ 4.5" backspacing... Clear the UCA's?

I don't think 315's will clear stock UCA's with 4.5" backspace, you need more like 4". You could use wheel spacers to get there though.

Would 80 series Land Cruiser or LX450 rims solve any issues with running 315s? Or maybe the Sequoia rims?

80 series would, sequoia rims are 7.5 and 17" so less sidewall so technically no

So to fit and clear 35's without wheel spacers I need to order a 16 x 8 Wheel, with 4" Backspace... True? I'll be ordering new wheels this week so someone give me the thumbs up here!

I also love my steel wheels. :) Heavy, true enough, but strong and easy to weld rock rings or beadlocks onto, and if it gets bent most times you can straighten it.

My vote is for a set of LX450 or 80 series rims. Steel wheels are nice too.
I really like the Raceline Monster rims, but I have the feeling everybody and their grandma will be running them, just like those Walker Evans rims. Plus they are $$$ :D

I Just put on 315/75/16's on FJC factory alloys. The off-road version 4.5 backspace and I have about 3/8th of an inch clearance from my uca's I am playing with the tire pressure to try and plant a wider footprint. If that doesn't work I will try to find 8 to 8'5's with slightly less backspacing

I think you will still need spacers with 315's and those wheels to clear the UCA..

Really? I have spacer so it's not a problem really, but i'd like to get rid of them if I don't need them...
