Dumbest question ever@

Hah, thought I would start my first post with a truly silly question.
Will an OE oil cap from a FJ40 screw on a 22R? Reason I ask is...I really want one of the late 70's oil caps (sweet "t3q" script) on my 22re. Unfortunatly I do not know anyone with a FJ40, I see plenty around town but how weird would it be to ask someone at a stop light if I can try their cap out? :argue:

I BELEIVE it will.... but I cannot say for sure.

The one from my 2004 3.4 V6 Taco does fit on my 1984 22R 4Runner though. (and they both use the same oil filter)

BUT AGAIN, can't say for sure....

Only one way to find out...

Toyota usually doesnt drastically change stuff for years and years and years. Heck, my 93 Camry has the same exact window switches my 96 T100 does and the Tundras I been looking at have the same ones too.
