On the 3rd Gen. Limited 4Runners, can anyone help me find the part numbers to the little plastic clips that hold the flares and door trim on? I'm also looking for the rubber gasket type trim that goes around the flare over the fenders... Preferably in black...

I just took mine off to be repainted and broke a few of the little clips and the rubber trim is silver/gray. I'll get some pics if need be, but thanks for the help guys!!!

Try this:

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1996_TOYOTA_4RUNNER_VZN185L-GKPZKA_5353.4.html?hl=75691B

If I'm reading it right, it looks like the retainers are 53857-35020. I hate that they don't show pictures anymore, because I don't even know if those are the clips you want. $13 is pricey for one. :yikes:

There are some "pads" listed on that same page, but I dunno if that is rubber gasket behind the flares or something else. I know some people have found a different source for the gasket (Home Depot or something, IIRC).

BTW, I wasn't sure what year your 4Runner is, but I used a '96 Limited when looking this stuff up.

Scroll down, I don't know if those clips on the Taco are the same as the limited edition 4Runners, but if so there is the part numbers and prices

Chris that's dealear price there, but at least you have access to the part numbers so maybe you can find them cheaper online.
Just think of it this way I have to buy all those clips for each fender well and then start drilling holes :D

thanks for the fender trim link Troy that's awesome stuff.

Crap. The only problem is the clips on my truck are white. They all seem to be the same size though, and look ver similar to the smaller clips on that post. Anything more specific to the 4Runner? I keep coming up with dead ends...
