1991 Nissan 300zx NA Slicktop.....just recently picked it up from a friend who had it sitting in his backyard for over a year and a half. It was covered up with dirt, grime, and spider webs all over the under carriage. It has 190,000 miles but still runs pretty darn strong and good....plans are to go twin turbo :P

First car wash in 1.5 years, it shined up pretty good...all that grease marks on the floor was from fighting the alternator.

Dirty engine bay after I brushed out the spider webs

After a couple cans of engine cleaner

Rusted out oem exhaust

Swapped it out for an aftermarket one....Looks loud but its not :hillbill:

I always liked the Z cars. Prolly dating myself, but I remember when the 240Zs were introduced....that would be back in the 1970's for you whipper-snappers.

Did you get a good deal?

Yup....it was a deal I couldn't resist, so far I'm a little over 1k in as she sits now. I originally wanted a MKIV Supra but the thought of paying over 10k for a 16+ year car :shake:

My friends caught fire while we were driving in it about month ago too!

How soon are you looking to do the twin turbo swap? We're doing it on one of my friend's car and it ain't cheap...

Was there a fuel leak or something?

I don't plan on it anytime soon unless the motor blows, but I do have a few parts piled up...with the important one being the main wiring harness.

Where did you guys get the TT motor?

The fire started from wires touching the EGR valve, but that's on a Z31.

We bought a crashed TT Z32 for the engine.

Nice. I had a '90 NA and a 91 TT ten years ago.

Had to the dreaded plenum pull to fix them leaking valve covers, also bypassed the throttle body coolant lines while I was at it, and replaced 3 injectors. It takes a lot of work just to get the plenum off.....Doing it once wasn't that bad, but I also had to pull two other ones for leaking valve covers too....a 92 and 93 2+2.....definitely not fun at all.

Getting started

Harness pulled aside and plenum off

Pretty dirty here

Gave the valve covers a quick coat of black

Back in running mode

Friends 92 2+2....Leaking valve covers and upgraded to new style injectors

Other friends 93 2+2...Leaking valve covers....silicon hoses...pcv valves..topped it off with red valve covers
