I would go look, but the wife has the car, and I have no owners manual to check regardless.
Do our 3rd gens have anchor points in the back for car seats? The car seat manual calls them latch points, and says they may be referred to as isofix. Just curious..

The latch points your manual is most likely referring will not be in your 3rd gen. I believe the ones it's talking about were mandatory in all vehicles at or after 2001. They are some little metal bars in the seat (in the crack between the bottom and seat back of the seat) and most cars have a little car seat logo at that crack.
Our little baby seat (less than a toddler, backward facing only) would attach with the 2001+ anchors OR a seat belt. One or the other not both and that's it. Since then we have gotten 2 more car seats (one for each car) as our daughter is older and heavier. Depending on the manufacturer and your decsion you can face the car seat (if it is designed so) forward. The seat in my wife's car is a forward facing model and for my daughter (just over a year old and just over 20 pounds) it says you can use the anchors OR seat belt AND the back anchor. The back anchor is a piece or webbing with a "hook" and in her Subaru it hooks into the ceiling above the cargo area. On my father in laws Pilot it "hooks" on to the back of the rear seat. My 4runner doesn't have the isofix so I have to use the seat belt and the back anchor goes up and over the back seat and hooks into the cargo anchor located on the floor.
The seat in my wife's car has different ways for mounting depending on the age and weight of the kid. It's something you have to re-read every 5 pound or so to make sure you have the correct mounting and pieces installed.

Sounds like you got your answer Cody, but my '04 Tacoma has car seat latch points between the crack (as mentioned above) in the back seat....

Yeah.. I remember seeing them in my double cab as well, but I don't see 'em on the Runner. Looks like we'll just be using the seat belts! No biggie.. Thanks for the link MTL, and the info guys.
