I decided to move this question out of YotaFun's HID thread so as not to Hijack :hillbill:

Both of my headlights have condensation in them most days. We're talking large droplets of water covering half or more of the inside of the glass, but no water sloshing around.

Is this normal? Do I need to replace my headlight housings?

If I need to replace the housings I was going to look into doing a HID mod along with Avy.

The seal between the glass and reflector might be letting moisture in. I had the same problem but only in one lens. I pulled the bulb, left the front end in the sun all day and then put the bulb back. I made sure the bulb and boot were installed correctly, was clean and it's been fine since. I think that if the boot isn't on right it'll let moisture in. I think all you need is moisture and not so much actually water.

Yeah, I need to check the boot around the bulb. I've read how guys put the housing in the oven to open it up and was afraid that the seal up front might have cracked was letting water in.

I'll keep investigating.

I've seen the oven thing for opening them up for mods but I forget how they get it all sealed again. My worry would be opening them up for an HID mod and then have them leak and have to pull everything soon after. Try a hair dryer or bright light if it's not sunny and warm enough up there.
