Hey guys,

Sooner than later I am looking into buying some 33x9.5 BFG ATs. These tires don't show up alot on the for sale boards (usually it's always 33x12.5).

I just looked at tirerack.com and at $130 a tire it doesn't seem TOO bad... but their road hazard warranty voids tires that are used off-road. Seems strange since it's a tire made for offroad...

Where do you guys find the best deals on new tires?

I bought my last ones on eBay from a dealer. I've also found them on Craigslist (used).

4wheel parts, got a good deal, sorta, kinda got screwed too but that was a one time thing. i dont mind buying from them, they have an awesome warranty which i gladly paid extra for.

costco is alot cheeper, but they wont install non OEM approved tires on your vehicle.

discount/america's tire are good, i got my tires mounted on my wheels there, they did a damn good job, had 4 guys working on my truck at once.

I used to use Tirerack or Costco, but I'm not doing any heavy offroading or upsizing either.
I don't know how they'd (Tirerack.com) know if you used them offroad or not to void your warranty though.

costco won't allow you to run larger tires due to their corporate policies so if you're looking to upsize you're kinda sol.

discount tire / americas tire is one of the best with their road hazard warranty! well worth it if you ask me :)

+1 plus you can buy certificates and they can replace your tires for free no matter what you do to them

Looking at discount tire vs. tire rack's website... discount tire seems to be about $20 to $30 more per tire! And they don't carry 33x9.5 BFG ATs.

Last time I bought Dueler AT's from Firestone, and they matched tirerack's price.

If you have local discount tire stores I'd recommend at leat stopping by and seeing if they'd order them for you. Used to go there when I lived in Denver, and I'd say they are in my top 5 for service from any retail store I've ever dealt with. Don't have them here in Tulsa, so I've been ordering off Tire Rack. If you go the Tire Rack route, check the reviews for local installers. The highest rated one here isn't even a tire shop, but they are a joy to deal with and I'll be using them till I leave or discount comes to town.

My bother in law works for Firestone / Bridestone. If anyone needs tires and lives in the Des Moines, Iowa area let me know. Very cheap!

Need someone in the VA area witth that kind of hookup. I'm looking to purchase either another 33x10.50 AT or sell mine for some MTs. If you were closer I'd say you could buy mine, but shipping would probably kill.

I'm not dead set on selling them, but it's a thaught.

I'd get 'em at Discount Tire myself. They WILL go out of their way to help you (at least they do here). Free rotation and balances for life of tire too. Alot of times they can source the tires even if they aren't advertised.

Discount tire definitely if you can. My local stores will often lower their prices to stay competitive. One thing to think about if shopping online, there is a sig price difference between discounttire.com and discountiredirect.com. One ships to your door (cheaper) one is for install at a local store and (I think) includes install.
