In the newer Toyota's, of course, the fuse box lid has a 'map' of what everything is. I am trying to find a similar map for my 1st gen (1984) 4Runner to finish sorting out some of my wiring issues, I am sure I could look in the FSM, and will eventually, but had a sec and thought I would ask if anyone has one handy, or knows right where in the FSM it is. Thanks.

I am not home so I can't snap a pic of mine, but 4crawler has this up:

*edit-just realized you are probably carbed, so this may not help at all, not sure if they are the same or not

I am indeed carb'd. Some of this may be the same. What I REALLY need at this point is to know where fuses and any relays are for the blower motor for the heat and A/C.

I am looking for the heat blower fuse, not the A/C fuse, I just know they are in the same place, and I dont beleive they are in the two known fuse boxes.

Oh, well I am of absolutely no help at all then. I'm just here to clutter your thread with usless posts and to pad my "web-wheeler" status... :flipoff:
Hope you get that beast in order soon!

once everything was wired up and working, the blower motor was working fine, then it stopped.... and I cant find out why..... :(

Maybe the blower motor just crapped out? Is the cooling system working right? Got heat and a/c? How about the resistor? http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/Blower.shtml

No A/C as I dont have a compressor, and couldn't care less.... All cooling systems on the motor function fine.

Hmm... Am I missing the necessity of having the blower motor functioning then?

I can see how Chris would want the fan working, after all, he's living and wheeling in one of the worst areas for "Swamp-A$$". Hot humid conditions at times means you want a little comfort.

ROFLMAO.. IMHO that almost beat's Lance's quote about being (paraphrasing here) the "Premiere Web-Wheeler".
Back O/T, Chris, I might have some shots of the cover and layout somewhere. Worst case, if you all want I can always head back over to YodaMan or ToyConnection, grab some keys, pop some hoods, and start getting some more pics since I am already part-way there with a project I am involved with.
:D We're getting pictures of all generations and iterations of the under-hood layouts of Toyota 4wd vehicles to help people in passing the more stringent CA engine swap inspections. The "If it looks factory" logic in a more accessible use.

don't forget there is a fuse or two behind the glove box and slightly to the left - not sure what they're for though

I remembered thats where they were when I was browsing over on 4crawler today, have yet to investigate if thats my issue though.
