Asking for a friend..... What's the biggest tire that will fit on stock rims on a 2wd t100? I believe it has the 2rz automatic in it.
thanks

I really dislike the way these questions are always worded...
because the rim is rarely EVER the limiting factor on tire size. I know you are going to have backspacing issues with stock rims, and tires will get into UCA's and the like...
but this question is assuming he doesnt want to lift, or use wheel spacers, I guess.
because a stock rim is 7 inches (approx) wide, so you can easily run up to a 12.5 wide tire... but height of the tire... well the sky is the limit, it depends on the truck at that point, not the rim.
Sorry to rant on your post Chris. lol. I've just seen a lot of these lately here and elsewhere, and I knew you were not a n00b to get your feelings hurt if I rant a bit, so I guess you ge to be the guinea pig, sorry bud.
But realistically without lift or spacer, I would say he can run a 265/75/16 pretty easily. You can run those on Taco's stock, so I dont see why they wouldnt work on a T100.

IMHO, the limiting factor is going to be the UCA. stock height tires ride under the UCA, so no worries there. but when you start going larger diameter and width, then you start to literally run into the uca. id say the 31x10" tire should be ok. id venture a guess taht a 255/85r16 would fit, but i cannot be sure.

Well I guess I should reword and ask what is the tallest tire that will fit on a stock 15x7 rim and isn't going to give him steering issues. No spacers, no hammers (well maybe a little hammering is okay), no lift, and I don't think he necessarily needs a 12.5" wide tire. He has 235/75/R15 on there right now and it just looks funny because of the big open fenders.
I know shit about t100's so I don't know if they are like the 90-95 trucks/4runners and can fit 33x10.5 without doing anything.

I would say he can get by with a 32" 10.5" wide tire without running into to much issue with the UCA. There is one great way to tell, put a 33 on there. lol

 I didn't think of that! Actually, I have my old spare still mounted in the garage that I could try. It's a 31x10.5, but I don't think he should go any bigger than that anyways.
