3/95 4runner AC Idle Too Low

4wd auto..when I put AC on it idles at 500-600 rpm in drive....I've adjusted the throttle body screw and it didn't do much...I've adjust or tightened the thing located on the pass side inner fender wheel well opposite the EGR valve -- max rpm is 600 in drive. I don't know what that part is called, but if I back this screw out, it runs super rich......Any help out there????? Thanks..

maybe your TPS is bad. Try jumping the test terminal like when you check for timing. The idle speed should change.

replaced the tps last year when I did the heads, sensors, etc...$1600 in parts....someone told me to check the vsv????don't know what that is....

idle air control valve, ive had similar problems on several vehicles in the past, all traced to this terrible component.

remove, clean with intake cleaner
