Anyone here like to cook? I had a $50 gift card for Target.. and end up buying a really nice saute pan. I've used it a few times... sauted some fresh bell pepper, onion, zucchini, and chicken.. It was rather tasty.
Looking for something good to try next.. and preferably simple. (I'm by no means Emeril in the kitchen.)

I love to cook. :) Mostly because I love to eat. That being said, you've sauted about averything I have.... I make fajitas that way. :)
If you have a cast iron skillet, I'll give you a GREAT recipe for pan seared oven baked steaks.... DELICIOUS! (you can saute some stuff to go with it.

The Joyofcooking Beef Stroganoff is freaking amazing. It takes some practice to get it perfect.. but its not that hard to do.

I love to cook too. Its one of the only things I'm somewhat creative with. Between school and work, though, I haven't had much time to cook the past 6 months :(

This one is pretty good and it's quick and easy to make.
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Thit-Bo-Xao-Dau/Detail.aspx
Ingredients
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1 teaspoon cornstarch
* 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
* 1 pound sirloin tips, thinly sliced
* 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
* 2 cups fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
* 1/4 cup chicken broth
* 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine garlic, black pepper, cornstarch, and 1 teaspoon vegetable oil. Add beef, and mix well.
2. In a large wok, heat 2 tablespoons oil over high heat for one minute. Add meat; cook and stir for about 2 minutes, or until beef begins to brown. Transfer beef to a large bowl, and set aside.
3. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in wok. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. Mix in green beans, and add broth. Cover, and reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, or until beans are tender crisp. Stir in soy sauce and beef. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 or 2 minutes, or until heated through.
Here's another good one:
http://www.pbs.org/everydayfood/recipes/chicken_stirfry_wraps.html
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved horizontally and thinly sliced
Coarse salt and ground pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, halved and thinly sliced
1 large red bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch, mixed with 1 tablespoon water
12 to 16 Boston lettuce leaves, (about 2 heads)
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large nonstick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Add half the chicken; cook, stirring constantly, until opaque throughout, 2 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining chicken.
2. Add remaining tablespoon oil to pan, along with the onion and bell pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until onion is tender and golden, about 4 minutes (reduce heat if browning too quickly).
3. Reduce heat to medium; add garlic, ginger, and red-pepper flakes; cook, stirring, until fragrant, 30 to 60 seconds.
4. Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch mixture; remove from heat. Add chicken and any accumulated juices; toss to coat. Serve in lettuce cups.
