I picked up a Champian Welder last year and have never gotten around to using it until a friend wanted to try it out. A couple cold beads with my eyes closed and now I want to make use of my welder.
I'm looking for an inexpeinsive auto darkening helmet and found this one at Welding Depot for $60.

Anyone know of a better deal?

I don't know anything about that particular helmet. My first one came from Harbor Freight for about $65. I actually really liked that helmet and still use it now, sometimes. I never had any problems with it and the lens was plenty big enough for me. I did have to go out and buy a different one (a Miller Elite) when I started TIG welding because the sensors wouldn't pick up the TIG arc. For MIG and stick welding, the HF helmet was great.

I have a pair of the Harbor Freight specials :) They were like 50-60 bucks with their warranty so if anything happens to em I just have to swap em out! Good enough for me!

Miller, Speedglas, Jackson.
the HF is ok for light use, after after I got flashed few times(welding lab at school) few years back, I will no longer use it. I have a Miller Elite and Speedglas 9000X. pricey but, cheaper than burning my eyes.
