Thought I'd throw a bone out to our membership. Anyone here an insurance agent for auto, home and or specialty stuff? If so, let me know as I've got a quick question I'd like to ask and potentially a quote request specific to CA.

I would recommend physically sitting down with an agent. I have AAA insurance and I have been very pleased. I was hit by a wreckless driver many years ago and was impressed with how transparent and easy their process was, plus they took really good care of me. When my house was broken-into a few years ago they covered everything and never raised my rates. There are plenty of fly by night companies with lower rates, but how much b.s. do you have to go through when something actually happens? If you sit down for 10-15 minutes with them or any other agent for that matter, they can give you a much more accurate quote.

I just had my car repaired with an insurance claim and i talked to the manager at the body shop. He said the 2 best companies he has dealt with are AAA and State Farm, period. He said they dont give any kind of run around and they get the job done for the customer.

I personally have State Farm, and have been very pleased with their service
