It was a blast as always, thanks to the people who set it up. Left my house a little too late and missed out on the group photoshoot :chair:. Might have to chop me in there now :hillbill:. I was hoping to stick around till night fall but things came up and had to head out early. It was a pretty hot day and these are what I managaed to get.

Looks to me like you didn't air down nearly enough. You should be running around 8-10 psi in super-soft sand like that (and this explains why you got stuck in that one picture).
Looks like fun!

Brian, I say We go out there next year.

LOL yeah 30 is way too high, I too go around 15-18 for "standard" off road, 9 for dunes like Glamis/Pismo.

Had a great time, thanks to all the organizers and sponsors. I'll post up pics soon. Sean did a nice demo of a pull-pal, it definitely came in handy out there yanking a 2wd tacoma.

Joe is in the house!!!
haha
Well I'll save the usual long speech but I will say I had a great time!
This was my 3rd year in a row and one of the best years yet. I have no clue on the amount of trucks we had.. but I estimate close to 75 total.
My buddy Kevin popped a head gasket on his 3VZ.. but other then that I didn't hear of any other major carnage!
I arrived to the beach on friday around 3 ish.. Joe had just gotten in.. some of the norcal guys had just gotten in.. camp was bustling :D
I caravan-ed up to Pismo with my friend Jason..

That was it for friday.. I made some BOMB sloppy joes just as the sun was going down and we settled in around a camp fire and threw back a few.. :drink:
Saturday we got up and didn't have time to cook breakfast before the group shot.. so we waited around and then went and got pictures.

After that we headed back to camp and chilled out till about noon when we started the GPS challenge.
We had a pretty large group for the challenged but still had a great time.
Just a few of the norcal guys..

We had a great time again this year. Thanks to the staff, for all the work! I'll get our pics up in the next couple days. Coni was nuts on the dunes today, airing out her first gen runner, all four tires about 3' off the ground! So glad she and Haley made it out yesterday. We met some awesome new people out there this year too. See you all again at UYPJ 2011.

I'm going to keep this post kinda short.
Here is the link to my photobucket album: http://s955.photobucket.com/albums/ae38/hamiltonfabrication/Pismo%209-10/
If anyone wants full size pictures, let me know.
We all had a wonderful time at Pismo this year. Alexus had a bit of a cold and wasnt feeling great but she was a trooper and stuck it out. We brought our friend Dino with us, and he was our cook, camera man, and entertainment!
Dan once again flew out for the event, and we housed him for a few days and then trucked him up there so he could man the booth a bit. both were a pleasure to have!
We also brought too much stuff, a whole trailer full in fact!
Saturday was spent pulling a very stuck 2wd taco from the dunes and doing the pullpal demo in the center of the circle. After all that, my legs feel like overcooked chicken and im sunburned! Saturday night we went on a cool night run separate from the group, we had a blast!
here are a few pictures from the album:

My Review:
First time going, I'm gonna have to say I was all smiles. I knew what was planned and what not, but it was beyond my expectations. Had an amazing time, finally met some long time YT/UY/TTORA members and what not. Won a couple things at the raffle. I even accidentally jumped my truck off a 4-6 foot cliff/hill and safely landed it. the fender couldn't exactly handle stuffing a 33x10.50 with no lift, so the bolts broke on it. but all in all, had a great time. the GPS challenge was banging, even though I didn't understand the outcome of it? lol went down some pretty crazy mountain sides. got some good pictures and attended every event scheduled! I'll definitely be more prepared for the next years event ( this year was prepared for more of a 1st time for everything ) and I believe that this time around definitely made of my mind as far as SAS/LT, especially after seeing PismoJoe launch his Toyota a 10+ feet through the air. I had a few issues with being 4.10s and 33s ( bogged down at the top of the hills ) but I just gave it more gas and it worked out. Maybe if funds are good, I'll have LT by the next year rolls around. but besides all that, Tons of fun, Barely any carnage. Definitely attending next year :banger:

i should also add:
i didnt get stuck to the point of needing assistance ONCE!!! well except on purpose! when we came in i got bogged down in that soft sand next to camp with the trailer, but a bit of reverse and airing down solved that. the pull pal took care of the rest.
speaking of which, that pull pal seriously kicks ass! i was so amazed at how well that thing worked!
for the guys i talked to about the bumper, PM me and we will talk.

This year's event was awesome! Our group included Coni (conigirl) with her daughter Haley, Jim and Ryan (Coni's pals), Dave (Dbcfr) and Deanna, myself and Liz. We set up at the South end of camp.

http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv237/superstroker123/Camping%20and%20Offroad/2010PismoJamboree021.jpg
Coni and Haley had an accident on their way Friday, but still managed to make it Saturday. Everyone was so glad to see they were okay. The 3rd gen they were driving was rolled on the freeway (totaled), so they went back home and got the 1st gen.
Before shot of the 3rd gen, wheeling at Shuteye Peak... (Coni just got this thing 3 weeks ago)
http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv237/superstroker123/Camping%20and%20Offroad/ShuteyePeak9610069.jpg

I would like to thank all of you guys that help make this event a huge success. Without your participation, the event would not have been as exciting so I thank you guys for making it a blast. As always it was great seeing many of the same old faces and even new faces to the event / community.
Chris (slosurfer), thank you for all of your hard work getting the event coordinated and your efforts definitely shined this weekend so thank you for everything!
As soon as I finish the recap on the event, I'll post it on the Pismo Jamboree website so please stay tuned to the final recap. Matt, your pano shot is awesome so I'll make sure to use that photo! :D
To everyone else, thanks for the great photos and videos! Some of the videos I saw floating are friggin hilarious!! The vehicles all strapped together was comedy! Love it! :)
Thank you all again for everything! I had a blast and I promise to make next year's event even better :D

Wow, another Pismo Jamboree in the bag, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s Jamboree!
First off I would like to thank all of you who came out and participated this year. I hope everyone had fun, it certainly looked like you all were. Also, thanks for doing such a great job keeping the area clean and picking up after yourselves when you left. You all are what this event is about.
Thanks to Lance (Good Times) for all his help, running the website, logistical help, and dealing with all the red tape this year. I seriously mean it when I say that without him, there would have been no Pismo Jamboree this year. Also thanks to Cris from Tundrastop for his help again this year.
All the vendors/sponsors really stepped it up this year and made for an amazing raffle and awesome goodie bags. Huge thanks to 5.11 Tactical, Advance Adapters, BajaRack, Benchmade, Brunton, Bulletproof Suspensions, Hella, HiLift, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, MHT wheels, Fuel Wheels, N-Fab, Off Road Jerky, Offroad Lights, Overland Warehouse, Powertank, Poly Performance, ProComp, Ready Lift, Realm of Creativity, Rolling Big Power, Rent our Toys, Roxie’s Market and Deli, SMP Fabworks, San Diego Off Road Innovations, Sparkplugs.com, Stubbs Welding, Taps Trucks and Auto Accessories, Toyo Tires, Trail Gear, Tundrastop, UltimateYota, Volant, and Warn Industries (let me know if I missed anyone). Thanks again!
Huge thanks to Roxie’s Market and Deli for doing deli sandwiches for Saturday’s dinner! The sandwiches were amazing! For those that did not get one, you missed out!
Thanks to everyone who participated in the GPS poker challenge. We tried some new stuff that may or may not have worked or been explained good enough, but it made for some pretty funny pictures and youtube videos.
This year was also the biggest by far. We had 90 vehicles sign in and get a goodie bag. We had 52 vehicles show up for the early morning group photo! Not bad considering many were still in camp sleeping and many more arrived later on Saturday. We also had some amazing weather and a full moon for the evening runs. The night run to go pick up the gps points was a blast! I think we started out with about 5 vehicles on the night run and by the end we came back to camp with about 15. Next year if we have clear weather like that, we need to get a night time group shot. It was really cool to be leading the night run and look back and see all those rigs in a caravan with their lights on.
We are already planning and thinking about how to make next year’s Jamboree even better, so if you have an idea, constructive criticism, or want to help in some way, feel free to PM me or Lance, or email me at slosurfer@ultimateyota.com
Thanks again, and I’ll see you next year,
Chris

Hey Daniel. Coni's daughter was driving, and tried to change lanes but the car behind her in that lane sped up, forcing her to get back over. She lost control after going onto the shoulder, and rolled the 4Runner. Looks like she'll be getting it back from the ins. company, so fortunately all those parts wont go to waste.

Wow. Glad to hear everyone is ok. Thats cool that she will buy it back, definatly a lot of good parts on that 4runner. I agree about swapping the motor into her first gen. Plus that rear axle with the e-locker and 4.88's should make a fun ride.
