For those that live in Florida, tell me about living in Florida, Ive got questions, lol
1) What do you Love about living there?
2) What do you Hate about living there?
3) Tell me about the wheeling down there?
4) If you could, would you move? and why?

Im not really concerned about the schools, my kids live in KC, and in H.S. so thats not an issue.

Ive been looking at houses, and wholey smokes, they are CHEAP, lol
Ive looked online in the Oralando/Kissimmee area and the St.Pete area, no "real" plans, just looking, lol
Thankx for any info. :drink:

I used to travel down there fairly often, but it's been awhile. In summer the humidity/heat can be tough if you're not used to it.
Wheeling? Uh, plenty of mud I'm sure - I think the highest elevation in FL is 100 ft or so, definately a flat state - otherwise drive to a neighboring state to get your adventure on

yea, I know it get STUPID hot and humid, when I was married, my father in law worked for an airline, so Id go to Daytona about once a month, then my ex g/f has a timeshare in Orlando (kissimmee)so we would go in march for vacation then shes a nurse, so we would go to Tamps for her continuing education, she would always pick that cause it taylored the conference for her field.

I use to hate the heat and humidity, but just as got use to it, it was time to leave, lol

Yeah, as far as wheeling goes, I don't think there is too much in FL unless you're into mud and swamp. Back at SE4RJ a few years ago, a guy drove up from FL to wheel. He was complaining about the lack of wheeling down there. Orlando isn't super far from the mountains though...probably 8 or so hours to the southern tip of the apps, and maybe a bit less to some of the trails in AL or GA (such as Morris Mountain).

That being said, I've only been to Florida once, and that was for vacation. We spent time in Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Cape Canaveral, and Cocoa Beach. From what I saw, it seemed pretty nice. There are other places on the east coast I'd rather live, but FL isn't bad. :D

I hate the high humidity here in the southeast.

Just my $.02.

I hear ya, but growing up in the midwest, I know about heat and humidity, but Ive become pretty use to the low (very) low heat and next to no, humidity here in Denver, but man do I miss playing on the water, and the senery that comes with it :D

I've been there once, for about 5 days, and the humidity was HORRID. Haha. I wouldn't mind going back though, just to see more of what Florida is like.

yeppers, if your not use to it, its so bad, makes you want to kill yourself, lol there sooo much to do, as many times as Ive been there, I still havent done close to everything.
Id really miss Colorado, and the weather here, and the wheeling, thats going to REALLY sting, IMHO nothing beats wheeling in Colorado.
