Baileys cabin or DON'Toff road with a 2wd highlander!!!!

Well what a crazy adventure We had! Chris decided to leave the jeep in favor of his wifes 2wd highlander. I didn't realize it was 2wd!!! I had to dig more than a Chilean Miner! After getting stuck at least 3x on the way in. We had a great night till the wind picked up and got brutal but we were already sleeping so it wasn't too bad. In the morning is when the tought challenges began. Chris got stuck at least 10x in the soft sand and wouldn't you know it Highlanders don't have front tow points! so I ended up towing it about 2 miles in REVERSE!!!! fun times we made it home once we got to harder packed road. oh well no "wheeling" pics but here you go. Word to the wise if you attempt this ride it would be no problem with a 4wd but with 2wd not so much

sounds like a nice time over all. and great story's and fun times come after the fact with stuck vehicles. we almost went but decided not to since the wife would have to be the one do all the packing, loading and unloading of the 4runner.

Looks kinda like Lone Pine. Sounds like a fun time... makes me wanna do an Owen's Valley trip like I did for my geology class but with time to explore and to find some trails for wheelin'!

yeeaaa... 2wd is a bad idea.. lol. The AWD in most crossovers can handle that stuff well though :thumbup:

It actually did super well for a 2wd but it was way more work than I wanted to do on a relaxing weekend

looks like a good trip, its definitely on my list now!
