97-99 Radio Bezel Conversion Help

I am in the process of doing this swap and am running into some issues.
Well on main issues, and thats the defrost switch.

I am having trouble locating the thread on TOF that shows this.
I have everything else down, but I know there was so sodering and fancy wiring that needed to be done to get the deforst switch to work, I know it required use of the old switch to do it and some very careful sodering, but I need to know where lol!

Any help would be great, and then maybe I can make a propper write up of it on here.

i'm amazed that the pictures are still up.

i've had my bezel swapped to the 99+ style for several years now and it was well worth it (in conjunction with 99+ center console to still have cupholders).

Unfortunately no not yet.
I have had some other projects on the truck that I have had to get out of the way.
hoping either this month or next to tackle it.

Well, I don't know how much help I could be with the electrical aspect of things, but if you need any pictures of my dash while I have it torn apart, I'd be glad to take some for you.

I am going to do my best guys,
one thing thats holding me off that I am really
worried about is that defrost switch.

I have one very similar to this that I've used for everything from reattaching USB sockets to 10 gauge wire

I mean I can solder regular stuff just fine,
just the tiny stuff I have to work on my skill for a little.

also this completely went over my head.
I know that the stock harness goes into the stock switch
and then the wires soldered into the switch go into the new
99+ connector, I just have to figure out where the wires from the stock deforst switch to the new connector go.

If from the pictures I have, the guy that did the mod before followed wiring harness colors, it should be simple enough for me to look at the wiring diagram at work, if not.... well its going to get interesting....
