Got a nice little Christmas bonus at my works Christmas party last night. So I'm debating what to pick up.

Either:

Bud Built belly skid or the gas tank skid from Lil' Skip's Offroad.

Which would you choose? Any other suggestions.

Could do both but I'm not sure on that.

I'd get the gas tank skid. My belly skid is just 2 pieces of nearly square steel that I had left over from my old truck. You can cut, drill and bolt that one easily and cheap. The gas tank skid take some fab time, knowledge and tools.

its the next thing on my list to buy or build for the truck protection wise, and actually, after that skid, there isnt much left to do.

what are the conditions of your stock skid plates? are they pretty new, or completely pretzeled, same for the gas tank skid. that should really determine your decision, which ever you need most.

might not interest you but for the price of the tank skid you could just get a ford tank and rear mount it. skid or no skid, the tank is low and in the way alot for me.

The only stock skid left on my 4runner is the gas tank skid. I already have the front bud built skid.

The gas tank skid could probable wait since I haven't done a buch of rock crawling since leaving Arizona. My old 4runner had a few dents the gas tank skid.

Good idea but at this point it's not really an option. Kind of need a place for the spare tire.
