this 4runner thats for sale was bought from a friend of mine, for a killer price, he sold this 4runner to this guy cause they buyer said, that hes going to wheel it, and having a new baby, that his sami is just to small, hes military so my buddy that what better guy to sell this to, a military guy, that will wheel it....
This guy was bitching and complaining about every little spot, hell this is 10 year old rig :shake:
but for its age, its in awesome shape, and it was advertised for $8000 and I know that he the buyer nit picked this for at least an hour, so I dont know what the final price was, and less than 4 days later hes trying to sell this for $10,000..

Talk about taking advantage, I just freaking hate people who take advantage of others..

the bumper was swapped out, they didnt like the "fatlip" bumper,, it is a 99

I hear ya, you have no idea, I took half a day off to pick this guy up at the airport, take him to the bank, then to the seller, the seller dropped the price, he could have sold it for about a GRAND more the very same day, but this A-whole used the miltary card, and flat out lied to us, I was soo pissed,,,

being one of those military guys that has been there. i disagree with this. but just because i have not seen it does not mean its not true. however i have seen an increase in people acting like they where in the military that have never been in.

I dont cut anyone but friends deals these days. I sold an atv to a guy (it was in parts) for cheap cause he talked about how his kid and him were gonna go, it was gonn be his father/son project, kids first atv. Jerk lists it on CL like 3 months later for 1200 bucks.

Did Derek need to sell it? Offered to buy it back w/o issue and drama just to have the chance to sell it to someone better?

for those who missed it, this seller had the 4runner listed here too then bailed out after ric started posting in his for sale thread calling him out on, for example, claiming "no rust" after having talked the price down himself due to rust. not to mention the baby story.

this seller has a history of selling numerous other trucks here on mud --5 in the past two years by my count. most of his post history is in the classified section. unfortunately, he meticulously deletes every post and edits the original post (can't be deleted) as soon as he sells an item so his history is not easy to track.

so i think the op here has the situation pegged correctly.

Me and a couple of others can easily flag him as a seller, in fact, I'm sure semlin already has. Whatever you do, don't go deleting any of this, it'll be perfect off-site backup reference material.
