So.. I got this $50 gift card for the Home Depot, but I don't know what to get!
What would you guys get? I can throw maybe another $25 in cash with it if it's cool enough.
I was thinking maybe a Dremel.. or there's a little 4volt Ryobi screw driver that would be nice for putting stuff together. Then I thought maybe some locking pliers.. maybe an extra tool box.
I wanted to get a nice Weller soldering iron, but they didn't have the one I was thinkin' of ..
I need some more ideas!

That's not a bad idea. I've got a nice Craftsman ratcheting metric set already, but my SAE set is just a cheap K-Mart set. But also.. I don't have much use for SAE, so I've been ok with it.
I use my set all the time, for 40 bucks it couldnt be beat.
Alot of my tools are husky/stanley (same thing) all the years I been using and the only thing I ever busted was some ratchets (granted they were cheap and I used one as a hammer alot and one just wore the teeth out).

I'd get a dremel. Only because, its something I find myself always needing but never having. I borrowed one from my neighbor for about 6 months... :D

I have a couple sets of those 9.99 double packs and they are nice! I have most my hand tools in the the small one and use it everyday at work and it is holding up great. Cool thing is that I can just grab it and throw it in whatever I go wheeling in and have my hand tools ready!
I gave one of the small ones to my dad, so I still have two empty big ones that I'm still deciding what to put in them. They are big enough to put power tools in.
I'd also get one of their husky small hammers. Their nice because they fit in a tool bag and fit in tight places, I think I paid less than $5 for mine. Lance and I had to use it once on his 4runner to fix something in the middle of nowhere. :)
I'd personally get one of these demo hammers (they are wicked looking!) I'm going to get one the next time I have to demo some tile. :)

this nail puller/bottle opener is pretty cool too

I have never had a problem spending gift cards let alone Home Depot ones. It helps that I have a house and there are endless projects but even before I owned a home I spent a lot of time and money at their store.
Don't waste money on a 4 volt whatever. I think a fart is at least 5 volts. A dremel is nice but get a good one. Variable speed and one that will accept most of the attachments is the way to go and you'll only need to buy it once. I've got the XPR version of this one and it's been great but I don't use it much. The kit is cool and the XPR will accept the Dremel saw and other attachments.

Other than that you can blow the money quick on a good angle grinder, grinding discs, sanding discs and a flap wheel or two.

Well... I just figured the 4volter would be nice when putting furniture together around the house. It's this one http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=hdus&catalogId=10053&marketID=101&productId=202351930&locStoreNum=2807&navFlow=3&keyword=HP53LK&langId=-1&searchRedirect=HP53LK&storeId=10051&endecaDataBean=com.homedepot.sa.el.wc.integration. endeca.EndecaDataBean%40628dbcfe&ddkey=Navigation. Now there's a 12v Milwuakee that's the same size, but it's also $99. So.. I'd rather not go that high.
I think I'm going to grab those bags for sure, and still up in the air on what else. I normally wouldn't have a problem spending a gift card at Home Depot either, but there's just SO much I'd like to get... and the gift card isn't big enough to cover it all! Ha.

Ditto, get a Dremel, better yet, find an old one on ebay like this old-school Dremel Chainsaver my Grandfather left to me that don't have the crappy wiring and plastic anti snag slip sleeve under the armature that melts the minute you use it for more than 5 minutes. They're really easy to upgrade to new electrics and last forever. *This thing's more than 20+ years old and still kicks ass!!
FWIW since I got that a little before Christmas I got a $50 gift card, but for OSH instead for my birthday. I just bought their Dremel Accessories packet and some spare parts. The kit is so nice and has all their new quick blade stuff to boot. Sweet deal if you ask me!
Best thing, is now I can also use it to carve pumpkins and have already used it more than the air cutter for project stuff on the 4Runner!!

I made it out to Home Depot today.. and easily spent my gift card, plus a little extra.
I got a 2-piece Crescent adjustable wrench set, a little 6inch Irwin ViseGrip C-Clamp, a little Lucas grease gun, and a small telescoping 'emergency' snow shovel for the back of the 4Runner.. Money well spent!
