I'm looking to get some good wiper blades for the Runner. I've had the 4Runner for almost 4 years, and it still has the wiper blades that were on it when I bought the thing.

I'm looking to try a 'premium' wiper. ie. Rain-X Latitude or Bosch Icon. Not set in stone. Just look for something that's going to be a good wiper for the remainder of the winter, and any rain storms that come after the winter is over.

Which have you had the best experience with, expensive or otherwise?

On the Tacoma, I've had good luck with Trico Teflon Blade and they seem to last about a year. I change them each Fall before heading to the mountains for 30+ times each winter.

I'm running stock Toyota rubber refills on my DD Corolla and they actually are quite good too.

After years of staying away from anything Bosch, I've been impressed with the Bosch Icons on my 4runner (it's difficult to get a wiper blade to clear the windshield on my 4runner for some reason). The is300 has Rain-X blades, and those work well also

Rain x standard blades, I really do like the latitude type wiper blades where its just the rubber but they are $$$ and they cant really move ice/snow to well cause they are flexible. I also tend to change mine every 6-12 months depending if I break them in the winter (like the other day where I snapped the piece that goes into the arm somehow).

Do the rain-x ones work better than others-maybe Im not sure tbh. They only cost a few bucks more like 7/ea vs 5/ea than the cheaper ones. When I was riding around in service trucks I had to buy wipers alot b/c I drove alot and during the winter I would get a month out of them from banging the snow off and use and stuff. I always bought the cheaper ones and they cleaned the windshield good no complaints.

I prefer the Bosch Icons Over the Rain-X Latitudes, but both are very good wiper blades,

I am running the Rain-X Latitudes on the Taco, and I like them. They are not nearly as good as I sort of expected from the price though. I am not certain that performance wise they are worth the price difference over regular Rain-X wiper blades. I have never run the Bosch Icons personally.

i like both, and will buy which ever is cheaper at the time.

i have really been wanting to try these out:

especially for the rear wiper, since mostly it just cleans dirt and dust off.

Both our cars have Bosch Icons. They are all I'll run. I've got 2 sets for each car. The older set stays on in the summer and the newer set is for the winter. They perform like new in mist, rain and snow (we have it all).

I have the Latitudes on my BMW.. they work pretty well, but I would not have paid that much for wiper blades had they not been on a good sale.. they were like $10, buy one get one free at Costco, so about the same price as normal blade replacements. They aren't any better i dont think than good normal replacements.

I picked up some Bosch Icons yesterday.. $27. Buy one, get one half off. I picked up the cheapest 13 inch they had for the rear which was still $8. It's some Duralast winter blade.. was the same price for the regular Duralast blade. I'll be putting them on today.. and testing them out in the next few days because we're getting some more snow.
