Just curious. I eat out once per week for lunch with coworkers and the wife and I eat out together probably once every 2 weeks or so.

How about you?

Rarely anymore, other than that some Pho (Rare Beef) last week and a 7 piece jalapeno popper from Jack this morning around 3am, sick baby was finally asleep, so was the wife .. No budget for it honestly w/ the kiddo.

Not nearly as much any more. Both Mrs. slosurfer and I are on a diet and we just don't have the budget for it. I've also been slow with work, so I've been home much more for lunch. With the diet, I've made a big effort to bring my lunch for work. I admit it though, I miss all that greasy fried goodness!

at least twice a week when im at school. typically id say 3 times a week.

it really sucks! the other option is a warm, soggy, squished sammich.

i am aiming for better stuff, getting chicken sandwiches instead of burgers, no cheese, or a turkey sandwich at subway or the like, but its still really hard to not eat out on the wacky schedule i have...

Sean, get one of those little soft sided insulated lunch boxes. They fit in just about any bag and with a little reusable ice pack, they will keep your stuff from getting warm. Buy extra ice packs, so that if you forget to take it out in the evening to put in the freezer, you won't be screwed. Also, you can put all the "soggy" stuff (tomatoes, pickles, pepperoncinis, etc...) in a seperate bag and then put it on the bread right before eating so that your bread doesn't get soggy. Sometimes, I'll skip that and just put all that stuff in between the layers of turkey or ham so that it isn't directly touching the bread.

they also make some little hardsided (think tupperware) things that are made just for sandwiches, it's even shaped like one. :) and they fit nicely in your newly acquired softsided lunchbox and will keep it from getting squished, so now we have ruled out warm, soggy, and squished. TADA! No more complaints.

I eat out to often. Maybe 2-3 times a week, but it is almost always CHEAP like fazoli's, or fast food, only maybe twice a month for an actual sit down resteraunt. WE both are doing the dieting thing now, and really need to carve out some more room in our budget, so we are trying to cut back more on eating out.

I literally eat out every single day for work. It's part of my sales budget.

This thread needs to be cross referenced to the weight loss thread b/c you can now ask how many use a catering truck for their lunches?

I remember at the dealership guys would spend easily $15-20 a day on that oily goodness. I've seen techs gain 25lbs in the first 7 months of their employment. I'll stick w/ my PB&J or tuna fish sammies. Heck, even a grilled cheese sammie from home is healthier.

Carne Asada Tacos or Egg Rolls and soda pop FTW?

I try to take a PB & H to work, but I'm out of peanut butter right now, so today I'll have to eat at work... and in the mall, the best thing is Subway... which I'm not a huge fan of eating several times a week, but it's healthier than Hot Dog on a Stick so I do it anyways :P

I try not to, Id say maybe once a month. I go to school, lost my job so I try really hard to save money. At 15mpg and about 40 miles a day 5x a week with gas close to 3/gal I cant afford much anymore.

I do eat out I try really hard not to eat fast food, I had mcdonalds the other day and actually got sick cause my body couldnt tolerate the disgusting stuff.

Ditto here. My rule is no chain restaurants unless we really have to. My only exception is mcdonalds sausage mcmuffins when we go on a road trip.

I eat lunch out every workday. MWF is fast food day, and I try to do Subway at least two of those days. TTH I eat much healthier at the cafeteria at work. For $4.25, I can get a salad, whatever entree and vegetables, and drink. I'd eat there everyday if I could, but my lunch break on MWF is later and the cafeteria is closed. Sometimes I'll grab some Chinese food after church on Sundays too.

If I ate one of those things steve im pretty sure Id need to find a toilet in the hours following it. Its almost as if my body rejects anything fast food, Im not sure if its the ingredients (since I have lactose intolerance)or what, even if I dont eat anything with cheese. About all I ever buy from mcdonalds is the chicken sandwiches for breakfast and the selects-but I havent been in ages besides the other day.

4 years of driving AAA service and lemme tell you what you eat when you can and whatever you can find. It made me fat, I was 160 in HS and now 7 years later im closer to 200. I only went up one waist size, but I dont like the way I look. I diet and I have but lost maybe 5 lbs in 3 months. I eat healthy at home too and like I said I rarely eat out.

I dont get it.
