Since between the two of us, my wife and I owned three two-seater vehicles, we figured is was time to replace her Ford Ranger with something four wheel drive and a little more passenger friendly. After looking at various vehicle options we finally made the obvious choice.... a 4Runner...

It is a black 2003 4Runner Limited 4x4 V8. The truck came with 17" KMC beadlock wheels, 285/70-17 BFG KM2's and a small coil spacer up front. I'll post some pictures as soon as I remember my photobucket password.

I already have some mods in mind and will be lurking around the late model sections looking for ideas.

On memorial day a couple friends and I drove out to anza borrego to hike some slot canyons and explore mud caves. I couldnt resist the temptation and somehow ended up driving the 4runner down Diablo Drop off and out through fish creek. I was really happy with how well everything handled in the dirt. It definitely needs a real lift though and any fender clearancing I get. My wife got a short video of the runner on the lower part of diablo drop off.

Here's the video. I think the best part is her gasping at the wheel stand, haha.

"Honey, check it out! I got you some pinstriping for your 4Runner, free!!"

:spit:

So what's she named it? :wrenchin:
**Also, IMHO, most importantly, wire up an ABS defeat switch for situations like right when your wheel touched back down, you went skidding there with the system audibly cycling.

you made an excellent choice by going with a 4th ten for sure! both the 4.0L and the 4.7L are awesome rides! i went with the 4.0L to save on some gas during my DD..
